On the same day that that the Bahamas extradited FTX co-founder and former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried to the U.S. to face criminal charges, two former executives at FTX and Alameda Research pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal fraud charges.

Caroline Ellison, the former chief executive of Alameda Research, and FTX co-founder Zixiao (Gary) Wang, also its former chief technology officer, were charged for their roles in contributing to the crypto platform’s collapse.

Well, the only problem is, any testimony regarding payoffs to Demoncrats will never, ever see the light of day..

I wonder if everyone will plead guilty, everyone will swing an immunity deal, and no one will ever be punished. Because I think I’ve seen that movie before.

I understand the Dems dismissive “we’ll donate the SBF political donations to charity” aren’t going to fly. Of course, a whole lot of those funds were spent during the 2022 campaign cycle. Hopefully, at least a good portion of the money can still be clawed back to the FTX/Alameda customers.

Guilty as hell. Guilty with extreme prejudice.

The first guy to get to the DA’s office gets the best deal. Look at Enron.

Ken Lay stopped taking his heart meds and died. Fastow who was the SFO and behind the entire mess was married into a family with major connections so he was safe - even though all the fake companies had names that, amazingly, were the same as his family members. So Skilling took it head on even though he didn’t even work for the company anymore.

If he gets a few good vegan meals and some sleep after his Bahamian prison experience, SBF may sing like a canary.

Judging by his talking on tv after the bankruptcy, I think he’ll sing no matter what.
I honestly think he has Asperger’s or something like that.

And because he died before sentencing his guilty verdicts were expunged from the record also.

It should be fun to see how SBF’s law professor parents fare through the saga.

The entire thing is so strange to me. I wouldn’t buy anything from that guy.
His girlfriend’s dad is the head of the Department of Economics at MIT.
Under him was…Gary Gensler…

Skilling didn’t have the connections that Lay and Fastow had. It’s all who you and your family know. Fastow’s family had given millions to the local museums and other charities. They didn’t want to lose that $$. Justice is not blind.
