(NEXSTAR) – As the U.S. continues to see high levels of three viral infections – COVID-19, influenza, and RSV – there’s growing concern over a bacteria that can cause serious illness, especially in children.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it’s tracking a “possible increase in invasive group A strep” among children.
At least 94 people in the United Kingdom, including 24 children, have died from complications caused by a strep A infection. “To my knowledge, we’ve never seen a peak like this at this time of year, at least not for decades,” microbiologist Shiranee Sriskandan at Imperial College London told Nature.

This is a result of the pandemic making all the kids stay home from schools. They never got exposed to the common germs of school age kids and now have no immunity for those germs...............

This is the new way to attempt to control people worldwide......using fear of disease......because it worked so well during covid.
Now being used as an excuse to close any public gathering place the government doesn’t like or wants control of.....schools, churches, restaurants you name it.
Maybe you’ll get lucky and it will be hoof and mother disease... Really? Who cares. People get sick, people die... It happens every day... And freaking out about it, whining about and over-reacting to it won’t help at all... The healthcare system needs to suck it up and figure it out... Their job is dealing with sick people... Who cares what the sickness is.

And I’m not even going to go into medical mistake deaths.

The strep outbreak is more dangerous to me than the covid pandemic was.. I had rheumatic fever as a child and am prone to endocarditis if exposed to strep.
I keep a fresh supply of antibiotics at hand just in case. I have a pharmacy pak of 500 of the amoxicillin-500mg currently. And it’s a good thing I have them as there is a shortage of amoxy currently.
So….it’s like every winter before this.
What is RSV?
