On the eve of Christmas, Swiss artist Harry Hofstetter arranged a light show for Ukrainians. The artist came to Ukraine with his own electric generator and plans to work on December 24 and 25, reports the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

On the evening of December 23, projections with Ukrainian state symbols, Christmas theme abstractions appeared at the Andrew Church, the National Museum of History of Ukraine, the Bell Tower of Michael Golden Upper Monastery and the Bell Tower of Sofia Cathedral: abstractions on the Christmas theme, in Ishivankami and other national images.

The artist called his tour Christmas Light for Hope. Hofstetter came to Ukraine with a team of four to make a light tour on 23-25 December in Kyiv and the surrounding area. The illumination will be conducted every evening from 16:00 to 22:00.

Hofstetter’s projects are dedicated to Christmas and Ukrainian national themes. Images from the projections will be broadcast live.

Quote from Hofstetter: “Unfortunately, many people can’t celebrate Christmas to the fullest. The tour is designed to show the whole world and give hope that everything will be fine.”

The art project was organized with the support of the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the State Agency of Ukraine for Arts and Art Education.

What’s happening on a daily basis is Ukraine existing against all odds. Russia’s fake and impotent army is stuck in reverse gear so all Putin can do is bomb women and children in the usual Russian way.

There actually have been a long series of attacks on Russian airfields. These have forced the Russians to base further and further away. This one is over 500km away from Ukrainian held territory.

Not a game changer on its own, but definitely a tactical advantage. It’s increased the reaction time for Russian CAS, given more time for radar intercept, etc.

For instance, a lot of Russian helicopter assets can no longer be used for CAS as their airfields in Kherson, Crimea, even Belgorod (outside HIMARS range) have been subject to numerous attacks, many apparently with drones, and so no longer are in use. Helos have limited range.
