China’s Orwellian social credit controls are in full force at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, where a New Jersey woman was removed from a Rockettes show after facial recognition tagged and ID’d her as an employee of a certain law firm.
Security guards “knew my name before I told them,” Kelly Conlon said to NBC New York. “They knew the firm I was associated with before I told them. And they told me I was not allowed to be there.”

Conlon was visiting New York City with her young daughter and her Girl Scout troop over Thanksgiving, where they tried to see a show. But the show saw her first. While the Girl Scouts and other moms enjoyed the Rockettes, Conlon had been removed by security.
Her crime? Conlon works for the law firm of Davis, Saperstein and Solomon, which has long been engaged in a personal injury lawsuit against a restaurant owned by the same parent company, MSG Entertainment, that owns Radio City Music Hall.

“I don’t practice in New York. I’m not an attorney that works on any cases against MSG,” Conlon explained. But none of that mattered once the computers in charge decided she didn’t have enough social credit to attend a show.

I could see this for bona fide Homeland-Security-esque protection, but this goes WAY beyond that to a retaliation level.

Not sure if it’s an urban myth, but I’ve been told that Rockefeller Center closes off the square occasionally to prevent it from becoming a public right-of-way.
I would have gone home and let the sympathizers find their own way back.
But government, ANY government, has demonstrated conclusively that it WILL use such capabilities to oppress We the People. So ... NO, regardless of who is using this technology, it looks like oppression and tyranny.

If you or the company you work for are party to a lawsuit, I don’t want you on my property either. You could be filming and trying to set up my employees or gain information beneficial to your side of the lawsuit.

Perfectly legal to discriminate on other basis however. You work for a law firm suing us, you can’t enter our property. You aren’t over five feet tall, you can’t ride this ride. Not wearing a shirt or shoes, you can’t eat here.
She should sue thd pants off of RCMH. Make it very costly.
