The leader of the Brexit movement, Nigel Farage, has said that the globalist green ideology surrounding the commitment to ‘net zero’ has replaced Christianity as the driving force within the governing Conservative Party.
Following the publication of the Independent Review of Net Zero by Conservative MP Chris Skidmore last week, which called for the government to double down on wind and solar power, as well as banning new gas boilers within a decade, Nigel Farage surmised that — in light of the economic crisis befalling the nation — the green agenda stands as the issue in which the Tories are most “out of touch with their voters”.
“So unwavering is the belief among most politicians these days that Britain can have a direct influence on future global temperatures, it is as though climate change has replaced Christianity in the Palace of Westminster,” Mr Farage wrote in London’s Daily Telegraph.

Put not your trust in princes, in the sons of men, in whom there is no salvation.
Matt 12:45: Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Stupid people have no idea what they've wrought. But they are going to find out. And they aren't going to like it.
The tragedy is that there are a lot of people who love Christ and hate sin, that will have to go along with, and endure, this train wreck.
So the Conservatives must become Tories to get back "in touch with voters." In other words, we must become the enemy to win.
If there isn't a plug nickel's difference between them, then what's the point of having a Conservative party?
Ok, Nigel, what are you going to do about it?
(The scene is in Hell at the annual dinner of the Tempters’ Training College for young devils. The principal, Dr. Slubgob, has just proposed the health of the guests. Screwtape, a very experienced devil, who is the guest of honour, rises to reply:)
"What I want to fix your attention on is the vast, overall movement towards the discrediting, and finally the elimination, of every kind of human excellence – moral, cultural, social, or intellectual. And is it not pretty to notice how “democracy” (in the incantatory sense) is now doing for us the work that was once done by the most ancient Dictatorships, and by the same methods?"
Seriously?
Green Ideology is our era’s “golden calf”
I have no idea when or how our destruction will be delivered, but its coming.
It was once, yes. I imagine he remembers it from his youth, or his parents/grandparents. Certainly not in 2023.
Maybe...
Seriously?
Yeah, really. Farage is either a shill or an outright moron. As is the case in the U.S., nothing has actually changed. For both the Tories and conventional Republicans in the U.S., the "driving force" is, and always has been, the false god, the idol, of money.
That the British Conservatives are seen now to be embracing the Green/climate agenda is simply down to the fact that that agenda is the ultimate con, the ultimate grift, for those -- invariably on the Right -- whose only consideration in these matters is "how can we make money off of this in the near term?"
As for the U.S., anyone who is waiting for the GOP to pull the plug on the Green/climate agenda, at such time as the GOP may be in a position again to do so, will be waiting in vain, I can assure you. The fix is in. Notwithstanding certain propaganda to the contrary, the Green/climate agenda rolled along merrily under the Trump administration -- a few tweaks were made to it on the margin, but the plug was never pulled and never was going to be -- and it will continue to do so even if the GOP should recapture the WH after the 2024 elections.
When you worship money as your god -- a ironclad reality that defines the GOP today -- that's what you're going to get. Yeah, eventually, the lights may actually go out, and affordable personal transportation may become a relic of the past. But, hey, the "favored few" of the Republican Party would have made bank in the meantime, and that's what's really important, right? That's what you idiot chodes are voting for, right?

Climate change is without question a cult religion with an unquestionable dogma and an Inquisition to root out “deniers” i.e. heretics
Sure, I know. My dad, father of a bunch of wild, silly kids, used to say, sighing, “I wouldn’t take a million dollars for any one of you kids. But, I wouldn’t give a plug nickel for another like any one of you either”. Made us think. Hard.
Same with immigration. All those nice Christians will sell their birthright in order to show how nice they are to immigrants.
It's only a "cult religion" for some on the Left. For those on the Right, it's an opportunity to grift, to perpetrate a con on the average person for the benefit of a select few.
Those who fail to appreciate this reality will never truly understand what's going on with the Green/climate agenda. Farage is either a dope or is shilling for someone, to the extent he's saying that the Tories have embraced the "religion" aspect here. Not at all. It is either sheer political cowardice on their parts, or they are enthusiastically embracing the grift, as money-worshipping "conservatives" are wont to do at every opportunity.
Not on their own part. They need subjects, and short of liquidating them, you subvert their morality their politial purpose, not just money, but also power.
That would be beside the point if we want to understand how Christianity has been taken advantage of.
So God grants your rights and responsibilities as a Christian. Government grants your rights otherwise.
That’s a funny saying! I like that.
