President Biden’s Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is taking steps towards requiring state and local governments to submit “equity plans” to the federal government to display compliance to fair housing rules.
President Biden’s HUD submitted a proposed rule that would require local governments to submit plans and reports relating to civil rights concerns or else risk losing subsidies from the federal government, the Washington Examiner reported. The requirements are part of a rule called “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing” and are said to follow through on one portion of the 1968 Fair Housing Act, which mandated that localities “affirmatively further” fair housing in response to historical segregation.

They have the process backwards: innocent until proven guilty. Localities should be assumed to be in compliance until they are declared in court to be otherwise. The burden of prove is on those making the allegations.

So many people are never told by the media about things like this. And if people do hear about it they are told it is all good and they have no idea how this will affect them.
Maybe the “government” could look into these massive companies like Black Rock that are owner/landlords of hundreds of thousands of rental properties.
Or, the politicians who have been diverting funds meant for affordable housing projects to their pet projects like bike paths and parks for decades?
