Probably because Antarctica is at the South Pole!

They are not baffled. They are willfully ignoring reality. Land based antarctic and arctic ice is a mile thick. Light and heat don’t reach the mass of it. Any moron can shovel a driveway and leave a bit behind, then notice the thin layer melts away in the sun and the thick piles on the side don’t. They call themselves scientists because the degree(s). They are educated, likely indoctrinated idiots.
But what about the cow farts ? That’s got to be causing some type of environmental issues !
Don’t worry, according to AOC, we still have what? Six more years, I believe? I’m sure that Antarctica will have warmed up and totally melted by then. Right on schedule! Or, right on reschedule of the rescheduled schedule.
Go complain to Antarctica, tell it to get with the program. It’s interfering with their narrative.

Exactly. Now CO2 is bad despite it has no effect on warming. Why is CO2 bad again? Because some one said so.
Simple: It’s an outlier.
Just ignore it. That’s what they do for all other contrary evidence.
