Tuesday on ABC’s “The View,” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre why President Joe Biden’s polls results were worse than former President Donald Trump’s numbers.
Co-host Sara Haines asked, “Now, if the economy is strong, why don’t more Americans feel that way?”
Jean-Pierre said, “What the president has done is transform the way we think about it, right? We used to talk about the trickle-down economy. He doesn’t say that. He doesn’t believe in that. He believes in building an economy from the bottom up, middle out.”
She added, “Polls go up. Polls go down. We all know this. I know you all talk about this very often, so we know that’s a reality.”
Griffin said, “Biden’s State of the Union Address is expected to double as a soft launch for his 2024 campaign, but a new ABC News poll says voters are even less enthused about Biden running again than Trump, a low bar. How do you respond to that fact that a whopping 58 percent of Democrats and Democrat-leaning want someone other than the president to run?”

That just means that Biden needs to propose lots of new entitlement programs and paint the GOP as the Ebenezer Scrooge club for not supporting them. Works like a charm every time.
Still waiting for an explanation on how you build an economy from the “bottom up”. Folks at the bottom barely have enough money to live on, much less build an economy on. They live paycheck to paycheck. Maybe some here have, but I’ve never been hired by or received a paycheck from a poor man.
Trump tax cuts worked perfectly. Low wage workers income grew, there wasnt rampant inflation and tax revenue actually increased, to now record levels. Its clear that trickle down economics work. What doesnt work is when the govt are the ones trickling down trillions of dollars of fake money into the economy.
From Trickle Down to Pay Up Economy.
All that matters is how many ballots the Democrats can harvest.
Biden and Harris will not be on the 2024 ticket.
but, if Biden is the candidate all the Media-Dem Party voters will line up to vote for him without hesitation. That’s the real strength of their party, they get into lockstep behind anyone with a D after their name.
How is Karina expected to know stuff like that?
She’s just trying to get through each session without
mispronouncing certain words again;
words like Nobel or Emeritus.
When did Trump or any other Repub talk about a Trickle Down economy? Cheap Democrat trick to make it sound like the rich are peeing on the middle class.

Well, you see, the government gives all the little guys checks, which the little guys can immediately spend on consumer goods, giving the money to Jeff Bezos, who donates some of it back to politicians in government.
She should have just said, “screw the polls, we run the machines.”
The only trickle he knows about is the one down his pantleg when he doesn’t get to the peepee room quick enough.

At the investment forum I visit the consensus is the market has already bottomed and is pricing in a recovery. I think they are wrong and we have a continuation if the recession to look forward to. For now though the market is in rally mode - supported by government numbers that have no basis in reality, like that ridiculous jobs report.
