Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday brushed aside former President Donald Trump‘s attempts to cast him as a “groomer” of young women, saying he is not interested in spending his time chopping down fellow Republicans.
The governor has been on the receiving end of recent Trump attacks, including the former president reposting a picture this week on social media accusing Mr. DeSantis of drinking alcohol with students when he was a teacher. The post labeled him a groomer.
“I’d also just say this,” Mr. DeSantis said at a press conference Wednesday. “I spend my time delivering results for the people of Florida and fighting against Joe Biden. That’s how I spend my time. I don’t spend my time trying to smear other Republicans.”

It’s obvious. DeSantis is in his way.
So let’s get this straight: DeSantis, 21, attends a party where there are also RECENTLY GRADUATED 18-year-olds who were NOT HIS STUDENTS (as the news stories covering this pointed out). And former owner of the Miss America contest calls this GROOMING???
I’d rather see pictures of a 21-year-old partying with 18-year-old girls than an old dude partying with the most notorious child-sex trafficker in history. Neither party suggests what the scandal-mongers claim they do: It’s not like DeSantis invited students to drink with him, and it’s not like there’s any evidence that Trump was a client.
But one of the two had a SERIOUSLY un-Christian, wild, trashy sex life philandering with all sorts of dispreputable and downright sick perverts, and it’s the same one who claims he’s never done ANYTHING he needs forgiveness from God for.

The only potential competition is DeSantis. Events swirling around him indicate he is running. I would guess Trump knows more than the media has reported.
Better to take him out now. Leaves a clear pathway.
If Ron chooses not to respond, he will pay the price.

well that’s not too bright because the same people that put Trump in office also put DeSantis in office and he’s pissing many of them off ... he will need them to get those 30 electoral votes ...
there’s a lot of people in the republican party who are against trump and see desantis as a vehicle for their hate.
and that’s really ok.
trump’s just letting them know that he’s on to them. that they will not get anything for free. he will fight them tooth and nail. and there will be consequences for them should he win.
lindsey graham is a natural ally of these anti trump republicans —like say McConnel. But graham now says there is no trumpism without trump.
Why would not the other inside the beltway republicans also fall in line?

You haven't seen anything yet. Trump was ripped off and robbed, as were tens of millions of OUR votes. We want back what was stolen.
This is not complex.
Then why hasn't Trump done anything but buy a new social media site to cry about it, instead of actually taking some action? He collected $250M under the guise of "election security" yet hasn't spent an actual dime on that, as far as anyone can tell. He won't even join in the lawsuits against Dominion, what is he scared of? Or hiding from.
Done nothing? The man is running for President again, after losing millions, and taking more death threats than ANY president in America history, and he was not afraid to declare it. No mysteries, no bull sh*t, no games like DeSantis is playing. Trump can do what he wants. And what Trump buys or doesn't buy has zip to do with wide spread election fraud, with Trump and tens of millions of Trump supporters getting robbed by the corrupt insiders running this government.
We're going to get back what was stolen, whether you like it or not.

I hope not! That would be even worse than gratuitously attacking a fellow republican than isn’t even in the race. Surely, if that is his goal, there has to be a better way than back stabbing the next best potential republican candidate.
