Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday brushed aside former President Donald Trump‘s attempts to cast him as a “groomer” of young women, saying he is not interested in spending his time chopping down fellow Republicans.
The governor has been on the receiving end of recent Trump attacks, including the former president reposting a picture this week on social media accusing Mr. DeSantis of drinking alcohol with students when he was a teacher. The post labeled him a groomer.
“I’d also just say this,” Mr. DeSantis said at a press conference Wednesday. “I spend my time delivering results for the people of Florida and fighting against Joe Biden. That’s how I spend my time. I don’t spend my time trying to smear other Republicans.”

That's right, NOTHING. He's done nothing but cry on social media about his stolen election, and not one thing himself to actually investigate how it was stolen, or implement any new changes to prevent it from happening again. Name something, besides hot air.
And answer the question, why won't he join Lindell's and Giuliani's lawsuits against Dominion? What is he scared of? Why won't he even mention the word Dominion, and is just leaving them hanging out there by themselves?
Do you know Giuliani claims Trump never even paid him for all the work he did for Trump in 2020? At the same exact time Trump was collecting $250 Million from donors for "election security?"
Trump called Giuliani "annoying" for wanting payment for his legal services, which left Giuliani having to complain to the media that he was flat broke because Trump stiffed him. Now Trump hangs Giuliani out to dry over Dominion, yet you want to claim Trump is actually doing something to fight the stolen election, besides complain. Child please.

This is a case where the 11th commandment should be applied. Trump is saying more bad things about DeSantis than many left-wing GOP congresscritters and even ones that have declared to run!
Trump's 2016 campaign was the most entertaining political spectacle I've ever seen. And that it culminated with Donald Trump denying the White House to Hillary Clinton was THE greatest night I've ever witnessed in elective politics.
I can replay those videos over and over again of liberals wailing and gnashing their teeth, of newscasters and political pundits crying. I didn't sleep at all that night. It was a time of joy and celebration!
And then, It kinda all went downhill after that.
First, Trump fires the MAGA people who helped his victory and brings Javanka and the Swamp Creatures into his administration.
There was that absolutely pointless Russiagate fiasco, Mueller, and Trump's TOTALLY USELESS Attorney General who would do nothing to stop it.
I keep waiting for Trump to take off the gloves and BEAT THE SH*T OUTTA THESE PEOPLE and I was infuriated that he never would!
Instead, he absorbed every punch and became weaker and weaker. Why would the guy whose personal catch phrase was "You're Fired!" fire nobody? He surrounded himself with Deep State stooges who never wanted him to win and they undermined him every step of the way.
Then he loses the House, watches as Dr. Fauci, who he empowered, allows Covid to destroy his economy. Independent and swing voters abandon him, the Georgia runoffs cost him the Senate, and finally the whole embarrassing spectacle of J6.
I truly believe that many of Trump's biggest supporters are sincerely hoping that the energetic, heady momentum of 2016 repeats itself because it was such a great time! But that lightning in a bottle only happens once. Those days are gone. 2024 Trump is not 2016 Trump.
It's time to move on.

as for me. I would love to see desantos as veep and then the republican nominee for president in 2028.
That said, absolutely none of this really matters until the republicans figure out how to get ballots to the ballot box.
What the democrats accomplished in 2022 was to retain and gain complete control of the balloting in az nv and pa.
without those states—there is no path to presidency in 2024.

I don’t think DeSantis has, or has had, any intentions of running for POTUS in 2024. Many here disagree with me on that ... their choice. Only time will tell, but I think Trump is getting very bad advice from someone.
Who knows? I always figured at least he would be the “Plan B”, if Trump couldn’t go for some reason.

In some ways it helped him in his presidency. Now, not so much. People can look it up and decide for themselves.
It's not always about experience, especially when choosing a President. It's more about trust. And I don't trust Trump anymore, especially on the issue we were discussing, that you are are furiously trying to run away from now.
First, show me some proof Trump has actually done anything to secure any elections, other than whine on social media. You originally whined yourself, when I pointed this out, but are so far unable to provide any examples he's actually done anything himself, likely because there are no examples of it.
Second, what has Trump done with that $250M he collected for "election security" in just one month, December 2020? If it wasn't used for what he said it would be, then what was more important?

My attitude rather is that Trump is who is.
The problem with attacking fellow party members, especially personal attacks, is that even if you win the election, you have lost a lot of potential support for your policy proposals within your own party.

For any one that might still be following this DeSantis adoration mob fest-
It’s easy to throw around terms like OCD, bipolar, depressed, narcissist, however
these are diagnoses. Only a medical doctor can diagnose. One can say, I wonder if he has…, then have the guy diagnosed properly. Trough examination
My take is that Trump knows who he is. I know people who act like this from growing up in the NY suburbs. People throughout the world who are successful but the success bound baby boomer growing up in Queens is met with masses of kids knocking each other around and off the steps
He knows who he his, who his siblings are and is aware of the personalities and challenges around him.

People refuse to imagine that’s what he could do to anyone who gets him into office regardless of why he’s been allowed to do in Florida. Taking all the credit, letting others fight over whether he’s running or not ‘that’s for the little people to figure out. I don’t work for them. I owe them no explanation. I owe trump nothing.
