Former President Donald Trump spent part of his Monday disputing a report that he’s conjuring up nicknames for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who’s widely viewed as his strongest potential rival in the 2024 Republican primary.
“All of the Fake News is reporting that I spend large amounts of my time coming up with a good ‘nickname’ for Ron DeSanctimonious, who is obviously going to give the presidential ‘thing’ a shot,” the 76-year-old Trump said Monday on his Truth Social platform.
“They are all 100% wrong, I don’t even think about it — A very unimportant subject to me!!!” he added.
The former president, who’s known to have an affinity for biting monikers and doled them out generously to his Republican primary challengers in 2016, has been gearing up to face the 44-year-old DeSantis in a potential battle royale for the GOP nomination.

If so, he is using an unflattering nickname for Ron DeSantis, in telling us that he is not trying to come up with nicknames for him.
Perhaps Trump should think first before lashing out.
Hahah, he’s throws in a Ron Desanctimonius for good measure. He knows he’s running, no matter what he says and he treats him accordingly.
He should seek a way out using the DeSantis Clause.🎅
Why would he be brainstorming for a new nickname when he already has the perfect moniker?

People end up defining themselves. And voila a nickname appears.
I doubt Trump tries very hard to name his opponents.

Its not in petty name calling or labeling or attacking unimportant entertainers.

President Trump has a fun style to him. The only people offended are the people who are insecure about DeSantis.
DeSantis will most likely be the very last to throw his hat in the ring, because of that insecurity. He’s afraid his campaign can’t take the heat of the Trump campaign and at the same time the voters questions on exactly what his policies would be on a presidential/national/international levels. How he answers those policy questions and handles pressure are what the whole primary focus should be on. What is DeSantis holding back and why? Is he a leader or a follower?
Apparently they have calculated the less people know and are forced to draw innuendo and strained conclusions from his time as Governor the better. That should be a quite telling.
And just like that they have us scrappin’ amongst ourselves.
