Hogan: Inadvertently helping Trump could be ‘pretty good reason’ not to run in 2024

Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R), who is considering a 2024 presidential bid, said on Sunday that he might not run if his candidacy would inadvertently help boost former President Trump’s reelection campaign.

“If you thought your candidacy was gonna contribute to inadvertently helping Donald Trump, would that be a reason not to run?” NBC News anchor Chuck Todd asked Hogan on “Meet the Press.”

Then don't run. The McDonald's drive-thru would miss you.

Hogan sickens me. He should migrate to Massachusetts or Californistan.

America has not yet learned how very much there is to love about Larry. The cameras will need to position 50 yards away to get the entire field into one photo.

Anyone who truly had the fire in the belly to be President of the United States would plan on running anyway. Damn the torpedos, full steam ahead! Larry already seems to be building himself a dignified Exit Ramp from that Autobahn highway of campaigning . Fine. May as well save a lot of time and donor money for someone who is ready to fight for it.

RINO Lardy Hogan is a lying f=phat f**k and should he choose NOT to jump in the race, you can trust he will work behind the scenes with the likes of the Lincoln project, DNC and CCP to undermine President Trump’s return to the White House.

This lying POS had me booted of fakebook several years ago when I challenged him to instruct the MD state police superintendent to remove the “sufficent cause” requirement/impediment to concealed carry licensing and he said he had NOTHING to do with making this decision.

Fast forward to the NY vs. Bruen decision and Hogan boasts that he finally told the Superintendent to remove the restriction.

Under a new account I challenged him on this, reminding him what he had said only a few years earlier and again, blocked, then booted off fakebook.

BTW Lardy, whatever happened to that investigation of the $100 MILLION in state taxpayer funds paid off to your wife’s relatives in Korea for bogus COVID19 tests?

Interpreted:

If I can make more bash Trump money at current scale than at former presidential candidate scale I’ll bow out.

Reverse the question and ask if he would run if he thought his campaign was helping Biden?

Ben Cardin will be 84 years old in 2024. If Hogan were to switch gears and run for the WINNABLE senate seat I’ll be good for $50 on his behalf. Remember people it’s BUTTS in the seats. Let him play Ben Sasse/Mittens for 6 years. I don’t care. We’ll need 55+ to get our issues across. The rinos can take turns slapping us as long as we get 51 on any issue. I was glad to see Chaffee lose but only after he WON.

If he doesn’t run, he’ll try to position himself as sacrificing his own potential for being President (as if that were real), and in exchange he will want to try to lead some sort of coalition of others who could have been President too (like Asa Hutchinson yeah right). If it happens, they’ll try to become some sort of new Lincoln Project, but at a higher level, which apparently can be a lucrative business.

DeSantis, if he runs, or whoever else becomes the main opposition to Trump in the primary, would do wise to keep them at full arms length, and make it clear that just because groups like that may be behind him, which suits their purposes, it in now way beholdens DeSantis to them in any way.

Sometimes the more important thing to people is not who to support it is who to oppose.

Think of Bidens support, where nearly none of it was FOR Biden, but simply to stop Trump.

The primaries work the same way. If your biggest concern is simply to stop someone else from getting the nomination and your running might help that person win, and more importantly if a better candidate is already running who could use your support instead of splitting it, then it makes sense not to run and instead help that person defeat the one you really want to stop.

That’s very true. With electoral politics, a candidate’s handlers often have to use a specific type of Algebraic Slopes showing, cost and effect ratios, Venn diagrams of cirlces showing how one factor or group relates to the other.

And then there is the factor of wealthy donors.
Big Money can change everything, sweeping all the poll results, all that
algebraic number-crunching off the tables of concern.
Ask any Sheikh, lobby group or member of the Soros family.

Hogan knows the score in MD. He has much of a chance at that Senate seat as Biden has at speaking coherently.

Pretty sure he saw the light, and realized his chances are even less than christie’s. But it’s always good to have a CYA excuse for quitting, like spend more time with family.

Look at Trump’s record.

Look at Biden’s.

Look at Obama’s.

Look at Bush’s.

Out of those four guys, whose record looks the best?

The slander of Trump never ends, and the line of people
who wish to look this stupid in public doesn’t either.
