Zero students proficient in math in 19 Minnesota schools, state hits 30-year low, report says

SAINT PAUL, Minn. (CITC) — Minnesota is the latest state to join a growing national trend of public schools with zero students meeting grade level in mathematics, and its two largest cities are accounting for the bulk of the declines.

Minnesota-based think tank The Center of the American Experiment (CAE) conducted an analysis of state test scores from the 2021-22 academic year. Traditional public schools, online public schools and charter schools were all evaluated to determine where students are struggling to recover from pandemic-related learning losses.

CAE's findings concluded that while declines were evident statewide, two of Minnesota's largest public school districts saw scores plummet the furthest last year.

Nineteen Minnesota schools had zero students perform at grade level in math, and the results were largely split between the Minneapolis Public School District (MPS) and Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS). The two districts accounted for 10 of the schools altogether, and elementary schools appeared to fare the worst.

No doubt true, but how many kids missed out on school for two years because of the Wuhan, CHINA virus and the resulting lockdowns/remote ‘learning’? We are going to be reading of things like this for years to come. A lot of those kids will never catch up.

The fact that the schools reporting the failures are in urban areas are also, no doubt, a factor.

But I’ll bet all of them made the “honor roll” at their respective schools.

Spend more money obviously. Toss in a few gender affirming equity and inclusion fairs too.

Yes we often hear schools need more resources or more money.

It is stunning to think that some schools have zero students at grade level.

It is not surprising that schools would have some students who are falling behind. But zero students who have achieved grade level??

Then the next question would be, what are the plans for the powers that be, to remedy this situation?

Over half of the entire state budget goes to “education”.
The schools are like country clubs with all the facilities. The U of M is a black hole, where they pour billions. The professors and admin. are paid lavishly, and many don’t even show up to their classrooms.
Gov. Walz is a former teacher, who lectures the taxpayers constantly, about “who we are!” (I hate that phrase).
Minnesota has become a socialist hellhole, under constant democrat rule.

Johnny has two testicle and one penis.

Johnyy joins the girl's swim team.

How many bits of genitalia does Johnny have?

Let's be fair.....some math just doesn't add up!

What are the IQ ranges of both the students and their teachers in those schools?

People driven by base emotions instead of logic and critical thought are much easier to control.

Public school teachers represent the bottom 20% of their college peers in other disciplines.

Once upon a time, Minnesota was consistently ranked in the top five in the nation for test scores.

Then, they decided to make diversity more important than Ole and Lena.
