Back at you:

Getting warmer: Trump concedes human role in climate change

“You believe that human pollution, gas, greenhouse gas emissions contributes to the global warming of this planet?” Wallace asked.

“I think a lot of things do, but I think to an extent, yes,” Trump finally responded after Wallace’s third question pressing on the point.

Climate change is real. The only thing constant is change. The earth has gone from warm to cold and back again on many occasions before cows were domesticated and the internal combustion engine was invented. The species that have adapted to change have survived and thrived. Acknowledging that climate changes occur and taking steps to adapt does not make one a closet leftist. Changing building codes or flood maps is not the same as regulating cow flatulence and banning SUV's. The former is dealing with natural events and the latter is hellbent on control.

This whole line of discussion always amazes me where the the leftists claim that a constant temperature is the norm and any variation is man's fault. Meanwhile there are those countering them by saying that a constant temperature is the norm and any variation is made up nonsense. How about realizing that a constant temperature is not the norm and variation can be expected over time regardless of what we drive and what cows emit? A smart politician looking out for his constituents takes the necessary steps to adapt to the natural variations.

Who knows if it’s rising?

But any candidate that doesn’t consider all the environmental factors including climate in south Florida is not fit for office. The state has huge Gulf and Atlantic coastlines, a massive number of inland lakes and rivers, and the gigantic Everglades. There’s a lot of agriculture and the summers are rainy and winters are dry, so water management is a big deal here. Even if rising sea levels aren’t the concern the climate has to be considered when addressing the red tides in the Gulf and green algae blooms in the lakes.

What DeSantis said was not unreasonable or green pandering, it was the proper response to a host of issues that Florida has to deal with. It’s far more than an environmental issue here, it’s an economic one too.

You get my point, though. There have been major geographic shifts.

Yes.

Nice try, Trump chumps, but “climate change” in the Everglades is absolutely a real thing.

Tell me DeSantis supporter, does "climate change" only affect the Everglades?

No, it’s happening everywhere.

So as a DeSantis supporter, you say "Climate change" is happening everywhere. So there ya have it folks.

Straight from a DeSantis supporter!

Ask anyone on the west coast of Florida this week how the Red Tide is??

Spring breakers have all gone to the east coast of Florida because of the Florida beaches on the SW coast are putrid.

People who live here get it......

This was exactly how Ted Cruz presented himself. As a good conservative through and through. But when the rubber hits the road we know who is, and DeSantis allegiance is to...and it’s not the American people. It’s the globalists. It’s amazing how Trump really showed that there are two sides...America first or globalism no matter how much it hurts America.

He basically said sea levels are worth looking into.

Looking into it?

What exactly does DeSantis mean by this? Does this mean he needs $$$ to "Look into it"?

Do they not know if the sea level in Florida is rising?

Exactly. One would think if sea levels were rising, Floridians would be the first to know.

Ahhh… I see… he’ll piss off “the other side” by “playing Trump” attacking California and SJWs and Disney with rhetoric and kabuki theater actions, but never doing real damage… and then give concession and benefits to leftist causes.

that “compassionate conservative” thing? Again?

Gotcha…

DeSantis needs to, "look into this"

This is so typical of a insider politicians. Talking out of both sides of their mouths, attempting to please everyone. Wink wink.

Well, the sea level could be rising, then again, it may not be rising...This is why DeSantis needs to look into it...

THIS IS TOTAL BULL SH*T FROM A TYPICAL LIFER POLITICIAN.

Historical Occurrence of HABs ( Harmful Algal Blooms)
While HABs may appear to many to be a recent phenomenon, the phytoplankton species that cause HABs and their toxins are naturally occurring, and incidences of HABs and HAB-associated food poisoning are described in historical records dating back centuries. The recent associated with combined pressures of a growing world population, food production, aquaculture development, and coastal development.

Below is a timeline outlining some examples of historical records of HABs, as well as evidence of HAB impacts in the fossil record.

Why are you equating Red Tide with the so called "Climate Change" socialist hoax?

I imagine most of them sitting in a bar. Having a reasonable conversation depends on the time of day, what we’ve been drinking, and whether the Celtics are playing poorly—which is often these days.

Trump this morning continues doing his best democrat impersonation, saying DeSantis is running an insurance scam on homeowners. Just don’t understand why he’s so scared of the man. Well yes I do, he’s scared Florida voters will support DeSantis over him.
