Trump’s bizarre behavior a gift to the left just as public opinion was turning on Bragg
NY Post ^ | 3/26/23 | Michael Goodwin

It’s not news that Donald Trump is the worst of his own enemies, but he outdid himself with his latest bizarre behavior.

His social media warning early Friday that “death and destruction” could follow if he’s criminally charged in the Stormy Daniels case came as he posted an image of himself holding a baseball bat next to a photo of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s head…

… The rant was perfectly timed — if Trump’s goal was to stomp out growing public unease over how Bragg is stretching a novel legal theory to indict him…

Every time President Trump goes on the offensive like this, there is a flurry of dire predictions from his detractors, saying “He is his worst enemy! He has gone too far! This time, surely, he has ended his political career!”

Then, his approval numbers rise yet again - because rational Americans know that if the Republic is to be saved, it will take a leader willing to fight.

The man is clueless about VOTERS he needs to win in 2024.

He’s been sabotaging himself since he got in office. At first it seemed like outsider issues but by 2020’s election cycle it was clear he would destroy his gains and good will by acting out, posting ridiculous tweets. Poor impulse control meant he kept taking the Left’s bait and helping them make their case. He’s been doing he same since.

““Did his laughing out loud send shivers up your skirt Mr Rogers?”

No, but childish insults like that turn off a LOT of people. 1/3 of voters are independents. You won’t get their vote by acting like a pissy 5 year old - which is part of Trump’s problem.”

Instead of what Trump is putting out, if he wants to win the election, he must concentrate of policy issues - the border, inflation, Russia-China, Iran, North Korea, the state of our military, our educational system. That will automatically smother the Lefties without dividing conservatives and making himself look like a teen-aged showboat.

The Left and the Right aren’t where you win elections. It’s swing voters and Trump’s need for drama is exhausting. That’s why he lost in 2020. Even many supporters, like me and other freepers who will speak up, are tired of the drama. The country is too important.

The 64 Dollar question is, “Are there enough Rational Americans to win elections?” I tend to doubt it.

It’s the media that makes the Drama, not Trump. Any Rat politician says things even more outrageous than Trump, and you never hear a peep from the media.

Trump’s conduct is none of your business. You might want to focus on attacking Justin Trudeau, your own Canadian prime minister, who is a Leftist tyrant.

Trump has set many traps for himself that he jumps right in a number of times - blunting his own momentum. This was not the first time and will not be the last.

Donald Trump is not being “bizarre”, he is being Donald Trump. By turns he can be the most charming of people, or the most unpredictable, and from this comes a great deal of his negotiating power. Adversaries do not know which one they will be facing across the table, and for sure, Trump does not show his cards. The adversary never knows if Trump is bluffing or not, there are just no “tells”. Those who claim to “read” Trump, have a very poor batting average.

but that's the whole point here ... we all know Big Media is out to get Trump, and even Donald Trump knows it ...

so why does he keep giving them clubs that they can then use to beat him up?

"unforced errors" kill political campaigns!!

His approval numbers have not ever risen when he goes on a rant like this. Ever. Quite the opposite. Rationale people would otherwise be receptive to his message simply tune him out by default. Writing off millions of potential voters is not a winning strategy. Had Hillary not been so corrupt, she would have easily won.

If you didn't act like a 2y/o then US pissy 5 y/o's wouldn't have to jack you up so.

Of course by 'rationale' (sic), you mean spineless jellyfish and cowards who are part of the problem. Amirite?

if Trump really wants to be Pres again, somebody should screen all his public output ... right now he's his own worst enemy

Justin Trudeau is your PM.

Um, you might want to sit this one out.
