Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) endorsed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for president on Wednesday, becoming the second House Republican to throw their support behind the Florida governor — even though he has not launched a campaign for the White House.

In a statement released by the Never Back Down super PAC, which is supporting a DeSantis presidential bid, Massie called the Florida governor “a proven energetic leader.”

“America needs a leader who is decisive, respects the Constitution, understands policy, puts family first, and leads by inspiring,” Massie said. “That’s why I’m endorsing Ron DeSantis for President.”

“If we make the right choices, America’s best days are in front of us. Let’s pick a proven energetic leader who can get us there,” he continued. “Let’s choose Ron DeSantis for President.”

This should be a fun thread. 1. How dare Massie! He needs to resign! 2. Good for him.

No surprise here. Once upon a time, DeSantis and Massie were Freedom Caucus members together.

Not that it means anything these days. That clown Justine Amash was, too.

.
Great.

The Dems have paid millions for “Opposition Research” on him, too.

If Elected, you have to comply and pass the Deep State Legislation, or you will be taken out.

They have Resistance plans from day one, where Republicans are still working with Joe, and have pledged to not impeach him.

Massie has a pretty high Conservative Ranking and I seen him ask questions in committees. I like him. That being said, I wonder why he would do this the day after the indictment. DeSantis hasn’t even declared yet.

weird timing is all.

It may be best if DeSantis waits until 2028. Governor for two full terms and then two years to campaign.

Yes, it is suspicious. Sad. I have liked Massie but he has attacked DT since day one so, who knows. Guess he saw hte poll numbers with Trump clobbering RDS.

It’s payback for when Trump threw Massie under the bus for being the only one to call out the insanity of the CARES
Act where unemployed people that were making $18k per year were suddenly making $52K annualized on unemployment. Where couples that hadn’t lost their jobs making up to $150K were given “stimulus” checks.

Dont you need to have leverage, some kind of influence, to achieve “payback”?

The DeSantis people feel the hemorrhaging. Just like the Treasury and Fed watching banks go down, they feel the need to stop it. It won’t work. The only republican who has a pathway to the Presidency is DJT — like him or not.

Massie is a dedicated Constitutionalist and a steadfast opponent of Forever wars.

Trump also bashed Massie over a budget deal that the latter opposed. Trump endorsed Massie’s opponent, who lost by 35 points.

I like Massie and don’t fault his support of DeSantis. He was available for the DeSantis people to pull him out of the hat today. It won’t matter.

Couple all of that with the fact that he absolutely runs the table in Florida.

Absolutely ZERO opposition.

Make half the counties BLUE and suing him for waking up in the morning.

Make half the legislature BLUE and have, at least, half the Republicans obstruct him at every turn.

Have the state prosecutorial and law enforcement apparatus make up crimes and try to put him in prison.

Lemme know how that all works out for him

The more Massie gets on Twitter and runs his mouth, the more of a moron he’s becoming.
