Sales from an FFL are already exempt. This would only apply to face-to-face sales, which by it's very nature implies used guns are being sold.

So no, the serial number wouldn't help catch people skirting this law.

Agree it wouldn’t be useful anytime soon, but todays new guns are next years used guns and Democrats plan for the long term. To quote the late and unlamented former Democrat mayor of Atlanta, “our goal is a society where only the police and military are armed.”

An observation not lost on Democrats. Where we see evil, horror and misery in the third Reich, they see opportunity and fulfillment and take it as a good thing. Not being able to think like a Democrat, I can but conjecture that most of them envy and strive for the power over the common citizens that the governments of Stalins Russia, Hitler’s Germany, pol pot’s Cambodia etc had. Just look at Biden’s attempt to cram inferior EV technology (5.8% of new vehicle sales in 2022 were EVs. Consumers weren’t falling for the bs and hype) down our throats not to “save the planet” but rather to limit our freedom of movement while at the same time reducing the resources of the middle class.
