Social media bosses who fail to censor “harmful” content on their sites should be jailed, plans announced by a UK minister have stipulated.
Technology and Science Secretary Michelle Donelan has announced plans to see social media executives thrown in jail should they fail to censor so-called “harmful” content on their websites.
The jail threat is to be part of the UK’s Online Safety Bill, a widespread censorship plan that some tech giants claim will also effectively ban end-to-end encryption for private internet users.

Harmful to who? Or is it whom?
Who is the arbiter of what is or isn’t?
Politicians need to be gaoled for being antithetical to the publik welfare.
No way to know what “Harmfull” is to each individual person.
Harmfull to one person is the truth to another.

That would mean jailing all owners and managers at Google, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, and many more.
But, by harmful, the UK minister likely wants his side to be the interpreter and arbitrator and monitor of what’s harmful. Fairness would dictate that, all sides view and decide what’s harmful to their sides. In that case,there would be no social media sites left on the internet.

And yeah the Labor Party waiting in the wings is just as Soviet in their thinking.
And all the while the British government-media propaganda machine decries the evils of Vladimir Putin in Russia.

Or, just block access for Brits to those social media sites and instead give them a message when they try to login that their government is a tyranny, so they can’t use the site until they clean that mess up.
Considering their “preferred pronouns”, you might have to ask “harmful to what?”
And this is the so called Conservative Party.
