I’ve noted a number of comments from Freepers, that while they like Trump, they would support DeSantis instead, because they think DeSantis has a better chance in the general election.
to paraphrase, they want a candidate who can win.
“to paraphrase, they want a candidate who can win.”
Ha, ha... Trump won twice already. Trump got 600,000 more votes in Florida than DeSantis did on his great victory. Trump got 16,000,000 more votes in 20 than he did in 16.
Only a fool would believe that basement dwelling demented fool would get 81,000,000 votes. Or that he would beat Obama in his prime by at least 30% in every black community in the nation after insulting them weekly.
Or that Biden won the presidency by winning in the fewest number of counties in history. Dream on.
Now if DeSantis beats Trump, I don’t care if he doesn’t play fair. Politics is war without bloodshed. But if beats out Trump, there is no way I am not voting for him. I like what he has done in my great state.
But until voting is fair, no republican will ever win with the establishment’s approval. Voters do not determine elections, 2016 was a fluke.

You need to narrow down that group of Freeper —DeSantis-bots.

If a candidate can’t win, it doesn’t matter what he stands for.
Hmm.... well, I bet Michelle Obama could win. Lets support her!
Point is, is it really winning if you have to do it by supporting whoever the cabal says you must support?
They’re fraud deniers.

OK...but the rest of us want a candidate who can lead.
I do not think De Santis can win a national election. He and Trump will split the vote and Biden will win if he is still alive, He may win anyway if the cheating is as rampant as it has been the last two elections.
DeSantis keeps doing things to diminish his standing and lose votes, however. The latest is to make it easier to electrocute people in Florida. I don’t think it has totally dawned on him that the Catholic Church is against this practice.
It’s like he is constantly trying to say “Look at me, I’m the real conservative.” But “conservative” covers a lot of stuff that doesn’t sell well with middle America.
The Democrats will turn off their fraud machine for DeSantis out of kindness, I suppose.
Amen.
