During his presidency, Barack Obama oversaw the decimation of hundreds of thousands of U.S. manufacturing jobs.

There was a big drop in manufacturing employment during the great recession as Obama entered office but for most of his tenure manufacturing employment grew.

I love crapping on Obama, but American manufacturing jobs were largely destroyed while George Bush 2 was president. Clinton is partially to blame for driving the negotiations to bring China into the WTO, but it didn't happen until Dec 11, 2001 under Bush, and with Bush's support.
