If he’s the best the GOP establishment has to offer, best of luck to you in the election. Has South Carolina produced an honest to God conservative in the last 30 years? No. If Scott or Holocaust Haley is the nominee I’ll vote down ticket for local races but I’m done with lying ass Bush drones.

“ Trump will experience a Goldwater-level shellacking in 2024 if he is the nominee.”

In other words Biden will be re-elected in a landslide. For doing what exactly ?

Scott needs to jump in the election immediately. America needs to Scott in the worst way. Most Republicans have no idea how the Senate is full of RINOs. Scott will do his best to show that.

No, the GOP is content to wait out Trump and pass on 2024 if he is the nom. They’re not going to expend any effort or money one way or the other on Trump at this point. Grifters like Scott and Haley will scam what they can, of course.

No, as a Trump supporter I am not deeply troubled by anyone running against Trump.

It is just the globalist group backing DeSantis that mystifies me why anyone on this site would be backing him.

US elections since the 1970s and the rise of the Uniparty "donor class" are not about who you like more (and why), they are about who you and your identity group hate.

That's why all the "Why would PA voters elect a vegetable" talk cracks me up.

A lot of Fetterman voters had no idea who he was. But they sure knew who "Dr. Oz" was.

If you think voting can still work for positive change (I don't), at least try to realize that arguments like "Biden is senile, Biden does nothing, Biden is a Chinese puppet" only can affect the 10% of Biden voters who care at all about who he is or what he wants.

90% of Biden voters will go to the polls (or whatever) because they know they HATEHATEHATE "Rethuglicans". And a LOT more people hate Republicans than hate Democrats. I mean, isn't Jimmy Kimmel a nice guy?

That's America today.

These are not normal times. Only Trump’s re-election can show the deep state who is in charge. We need to show solidarity and rally around Trump. Desantis is a distraction. The republic is on the line.

Good sarcasm huh?

Not really.

No one, including Trump, is surprised another establishment candidate is entering the race, especially one that hopes to force his way onto the ticket at VP.

Trump supporters aren't the least bit bothered by another establishment candidate joining the race. Why would they or he be?

All Scott does is further dilute the already extremely narrow path to victory of an establishment candidate of which DeSantis is the leader.

Scott is member in good standing of the establishment wing of the party, a foot solider that Mitch McConnell can count on.

Well, SOMEONE has to fill the black primary slot Ben Carson occupied ... several candidates are vying for the fatman RINO slot that Christie occupied; niki haley et. al. are vying for the Carly Fiorina female RINO slot ... asa hutchinson is vying for the “my father was a mailman” RINO slot, and so it goes ... the more RINOs, the more they split that 1% RINO primary vote ...

Tim Scott should run. Even Pompeo should have declared in my view. We need a competitive primary. There’s no downside to Tim Scott running, or Nikki Haley.

Trump might be leading in the primary polls, could even win, but there’s almost 101% chance he loses in the general. Other than Asa, he’s probably the least likely to beat Joe in 2024.
