Christopher Nolan and Oppenheimer... this is the one flick I'm really looking forward to this summer.

I don’t think the cuts and silhouettes of their suits are accurate for the depicted era.

Will this charming little flick also address the deep Soviet penetration of the Manhattan Project and Oppenheimer’s role in it?

Me too...!

Not sure Murphy was tall enough - but his ambition in getting this role will probably take over - very much looking forward to this version of history

“pulse-pounding scenes showcasing a man who must risk destroying the entire world in a wild and dangerous attempt to save it. “

A bit over-wrought.

Got a link for the trailer in there somewhere?

Not going to watch a movie lauding a marxist traitor.

I doubt it. It sounds like it will attempt to canonize Oppenheimer.

I will wait until I can watch it for free, but I will watch it out of curiosity.

Oppenheimer was no hero. He was a scientist. And General Groves was astute enough to accept the risk of him being a communist sympathizer, if not a hidden party member.

I think General Groves made the right choice, but that cannot have been an easy one.

I thought it was “overwrought” too. Nevertheless, it is an interesting story, the Manhattan Project.

Personally, I have always enjoyed looking at it through the eyes of Richard Feynman. Regardless of his ideology, he always came across as honest to me.

Given the history recounted in Richard Rhodes' The Making of the Atomic Bomb and books by many others, including some involved in the Manhattan Project, one wonders how Hollywood's leftist obsession with revisionism to fit the current woketardian insanity will shape this movie and its characters.

It’ll be “Hollywood History”, and generations will go by before anyone notices the truth.

I don’t like IMDB for the most part - but the trailer is there

I think it probably shows enough of the direction the portrayal will go - whatever some think of his internal goals, he gave the U.S.A. the advantage over the fascist and communist forces of the day.

His afterthoughts/regrets subsequent to ‘the event’ - really irrelevant today

No kidding.

Google now controls "The Truth" and there are billions of people who use it every day to access "The Truth".

And Google makes no apologies for their desire to shape "The Truth" as they view it.

I didn’t know she was into economics but she has a “job” so I’ll check this one out, thanks for the tip.

I liked the BBC version of Oppenheimer with Sam Waterston. 7 episodes, seemed balanced to me.
