Breitbart News spoke with presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy (R) about the left’s knee-jerk gun control reaction to high profile shootings and noted his conviction that the focus should be on things such as mental health and the breakdown of the nuclear family, rather than firearm laws.
The left’s eagerness to push gun control has been evidenced in instances where President Biden has pushed an “assault weapons” ban in response to handgun attacks. He did this following a January 21, 2023, pistol attack in California, the February 13, 2023, after the handgun attack at Michigan State University, and most recently pushed an “assault weapons” ban after the April 15,2023, attack on a birthday party in Dadeville, Alabama.

Kids suffer and behave like lunatics without structure, love, discipline, and guidance. Look at many poorly raised (or not raised) kids these days, whether from wealthy families or not; it makes no difference. Poor role models, inconsistent parenting, lack of rules/boundaries, divorce, crappy schools, abuse, drugs, and alcohol, you name it - utter confusion and chaos. Many develop a nihilistic view of the world and still look for something to latch onto; some end their or others' lives. Instead, we should crack down on crime and criminals, stop teaching neo-Marxist garbage in public schools, fix the economy so the middle class can succeed, and allow parents to raise their families without government meddling.

Boys especially, in or from a fatherless family, have statistically higher than average rates of anti-social behavior, crime, mental health issues, drug and alcohol use.
NO!!! That statistic is not a slam or smear against ALL boys and men from fatherless families; quite the opposite. It says they are the ones most at risk for problems compared to their peers from families with a father in the home. It is the fatherless boys most in need of help to overcome the deficit of growing up without a father.
THAT issue is maybe first compared to the second issue for boys and young men. That issue is horrible, mean, abusive fathers in the home making life hell for their spouse and children. In the latter case the boys need to be rescued from the home. A place like Boys Town would be better than being raised with a horrible dad.
As far as I am concerned there should be a list of 'Adult' crimes with the same adult sentencing guidelines for everyone - regardless of age. Do an adult crime, do adult time.
I used to think that parents should be held responsible for their little criminals kids, but I would limit that to monetary loss in non violent crimes such as GTA, Shoplifting, vandalism, etc.
...and while I am at it, these over-educated sheepskin waving narcissist moron headshrinkers should be held responsible for everyone they ‘cure’ or deem ‘safe’ during ‘treatment’ that commits a crime. Also get rid of the ‘He/She/They chose not to take their meds’ excuse. You say they’re safe as long as they’re medicated - you are responsible. Don’t like that? Open the asylums.
He is an ex pharmacy executive. I bet he pushes the right buttons. Big Pharma Pays button. It worked for trump, so why not. I heard him being interviewed by a contrarian... all talk, no record of doing a single thing except big Pharma work.
