Historian David Starkey has sparked outrage after claiming that left-wing activists are trying to destroy 'white culture' and are 'jealous' of the Holocaust.
In a speech to the National Conservatism Conference in London, Dr Starkey claimed that groups such as Black Lives Matter were attempting to 'do exactly what was done to German culture because of Nazism and the Holocaust'.
He added: 'The determination is to replace the Holocaust with slavery.
'In other words, this is why Jews are under such attack from the Left. There's jealousy, fundamentally. There is jealousy of the moral primacy of the Holocaust and a determination to replace it with slavery.'
Reacting to his speech, former Labour MP John Mann, the Government's adviser on anti-Semitism, branded the academic 'pathetic' and said he was using the 'Jewish community and the Holocaust' to try to 'divide' people.
Dr Starkey, an expert on Tudor history, has previously been criticised for comments on slavery and the Black Lives Matter movement. He was accused of racism during coverage of the Coronation on GB News when he claimed that Rishi Sunak was 'not fully grounded in our culture'.
He later denied his comments were racist, saying he was referring to the Prime Minister being a 'typical international liberal' with no interest in British 'values'.
In 2020, he was dropped by his publisher and lost two university positions after claiming slavery was not genocide because there are 'so many damn blacks' in Africa and Britain.

When the greatest currency is victimhood, everyone -- Jews, blacks, gays, trannies, Native Americans, everyone -- wants its suffering to be seen as "the worst."
How about we instead focus on a group's moral, cultural, and civilizational contributions?

Impossible to say he’s wrong given what we’ve seen in recent years.
For the most part, “white culture” will destroy itself to make room for “(insert color here) culture. This is programming, whites have been made to feel ashamed of our culture since the 60’s.

What the heck is “white culture”?
Do white people exist? Well, our enemies seem to have no problem identifying us, so we must exist.
So "white culture" is the culture of people who identify as, or are identified by others as, white.
IMO, it's the culture of the indigenous European peoples and their diaspora.
I have a lot of respect for David Starkey, and his writings. He's an excellent historian. He's not afraid to tell it like it is, and is willing to take the heat for it. I can just imagine what he's thinks of the diversity actors they have portraying actual historical figures these days in movies and TV series. It's an abomination, and I won't watch any of it.
The point of identifying normal values as part of "white culture" is to diminish them as a force in society by making them a matter of race. Dig a little deeper, and one soon realizes that what is called "white culture" is what Marxists refer to as "bourgeois values," with the racially tinged attack on them being part of the Marxist assault on established society.
Starkey is a genuinely good historian, a political and social conservative, and gay, which makes him a troubling figure for the Left. And in attacking the Black Lives Matter crowd, he is dead on the mark, both in it being expressly racialist and Marxist in its core thinking.
In private at least, I am sure that the leadership of BLM would have to admit that Starkey is correct, that they oppose "white culture" and are jealous of the prominence of the Holocaust. And as we now know, with the leadership of BLM being thieves, they are genuine Marxists.
