If DeSantis wants my vote, he better get working on that.
I have a question for you.
We know Trump was criminally set up and framed, we know top officials in these government agencies were criminally undermining and attacking Trump and his associates, 24/7 for 7 years, and then attempted to destabilize and overthrow his administration. And ALL this totally influenced the last election. We know all this.
And DeSantis’ response to these high crimes and treason against Trump is to run AGAINST Trump?
Tell me, who side does it appear DeSantis is on?
Others might call it “deprivation of rights under color of law,” punishable by fines and prison time.
And there appears to be virtually nothing we can do about it.

If I recall correctly, from earlier news reports, trumps team was delaying the trial. Why don’t they only ask the judge to hold a trial next week and get it over with now?

You may be right. In addition Trump has not been able to get the creme of the crop at the most prestigious law firms to represent him even though he can afford the fees. It seems many of the best constitutional lawyers and litigators fear peer disapproval if they represent Trump. To them social approval is more important than justice.

I am not an attorney but I did take constitutional law in college. My understanding is once appeals are done in the state court system the Supreme Court may take a case where constitutional rights may have been violated.
I guess EJ Carroll has now said she is going to file a 10M lawsuit against Trump for defamation again after winning the 5M from recent trial. Trump claims EJ called her black husband a derogatory name. Seriously, he should shut up and save that for the appeal with his attorney’s.
I know he didn’t get a fair trial with EJ. But he needs to shut up and let his attorney’s do their job.

DeSantis supporters seem to only care about ‘winning the general’ without recognizing that the laws DeSantis has passed will be construed as ‘authoritarian dictator’, ‘far right extremist’, homophobe etc. While they could only criticize Trump personally, they will showcase the laws DeSantis passed using their own definition. Ex. Don’t say gay law. Independents and blue dog democrats will NOT vote for him. Same problem Cruz would have had.
Above all of the other laws, 6 wk abortion is very unpopular whether you like it or not. Check the polling on that subject.
