Poll: Trump Increases Lead to 28 Points After DeSantis Campaign Launch

Former President Donald Trump increased his lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) to 28-points after the Florida governor officially launched his presidential campaign, a Yahoo News/YouGov found.

###

As Yahoo News reported:

Among potential Republican primary voters — registered voters who identify as Republicans or GOP-leaning independents — Trump now leads the full field of seven declared candidates with 53%. That’s up from 48% in early May, before DeSantis threw his hat in the ring. And DeSantis now lags further behind than he did just a few weeks ago; his 25% is down from 28% in early May.

Put another way, DeSantis trailed Trump by 20 points in the previous Yahoo News/YouGov poll. Today, he trails by 28 points.

None of the other declared candidates, such as former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), or Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R), polled above five percent.

A Uniparty media organ poll, skewed to the Uniparty chosen candidate. How much greater would that lead be if the Uniparty special sauce and outright lies are discounted.

This is traditionally the timeframe of an election where Ron Paul would lead the polls.

The real games aren’t going to start until the beginning of 2024.

Of course you don't include the fact that Rob DeSantis hasn't even announced yet!

The real games aren’t going to start until the beginning of 2024.

Ping Jockey is right: This thing is over. But due to Big Establishment Money behind DeSantis, the Tallahassee Team is going to limp along until Ron loses hard to Trump in the Florida primary in March. (See: Rubio, Marco—March 2016)

Everyone needs to just get ready to vote in the general election. This thing is over.

The primary is over when it comes to the nominee.

However, the real power games going into the general election are only beginning. The National Review and Chamber of Commerce wing of the GOPe and their oligarch friends want to damage Trump as much as possible.

They don’t care a bit about Ron. This is all about Trump.

That analogy doesn't apply to Trump, who is the equivalent of incumbent having been President with a track record the base of the party likes.

The courts won’t take our voter fraud cases, but they will take the Democrat’s phony criminal cases against President Trump.

Ron is a willing tool to damage Trump. Mark my words. I am beyond disappointed in his decision(s).

I will NEVER support another neocon and as much as I despise the woke agenda (his claim to fame?) keeping my teenage children out of endless and stupid wars is my #1 goal.

You can judge a man by his friends AND his enemies.

Team Jeb spent over 100 million in 2016, but evidently they never figured how to turn those dollars into polling results.

The Ron train is starting to look a lot like the Jeb train.

Even though the Jeb train wrecked early on, it managed to stay sputtering down the tracks for quite a while.

Of course, Jeb had something Ron doesn’t have which was a natural good natured likeability.

Same here.

And, that is what has always been about -- Trump opposes the two Holy Grails of the swamp: Neocon foreign policy and illegal immigration. Both screw over the American people but make money for the political class and oligarchs.

But will Trump continue to appoint neocons and Deep Stater’s to high level positions if he returns to office?

I guess the Uni-Party deep state candidate is not doing as well as they had hoped. Now they will be forced to arrest Trump and try to take him out of the picture that way. I wonder what people will do when the deep state steals another election? There’s just so much people will put up with.
