Biden ‘misunderestimated’ Kevin McCarthy, and it led to a major conservative victory
The Hill ^ | 06/02/2023 | MATT MOWERS

Posted on 06/02/2023 9:31:06 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

When debt ceiling negotiations reached a fever pitch, President Biden made a crucial mistake. To steal a word coined by former President George W. Bush, he severely misunderestimated the strategic prowess of Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (Calif.).

In doing so, Biden inadvertently paved the way for McCarthy and the Republican Congress to achieve remarkable conservative victories that will have a lasting impact on the nation.

House Republicans’ shrewd maneuvering resulted in the largest reduction in spending in history — a rollback of nondefense spending to fiscal 2022 levels, the implementation of work requirements for government benefit programs, and the successful clawback of billions in unspent funds from COVID programs.

Yes— it was a fakeA@@ Uniparty “victory” that kicked the can with complete fabrication and camouflage. A huge LIE!

We do not have regular order in Congress. More non-budgeting continuing resolutions for decades. Not budgets, not bills and no conferencing.

Tricksters. And this “writer” is an apparatchik on crystal meth. Federal Reserve bunco crap. 44 trillion in debt. Not repayable. Slaves to a private bank.

The gaslighting will continue until we cheer over the major conservative victory.

” a rollback of nondefense spending to fiscal 2022 levels, the implementation of work requirements for government benefit programs and the successful clawback of billions in unspent funds from COVID-19 programs.”

A rollback of non defense spending to LAST YEARS LEVELS????

Oh, the great “VICTORY”

We are spending every year 26% more than we take in, every single year.... EVERY SINGLE YEAR... EVERY SINGLE YEAR...

And with Interest rates climbing you better believe that that number is going to increase as the interest rate on the existing debt, which is more 6 times the annual revenues of the federal government.

That’s right folks, if the US didn’t spend a dime on anything and gave every penny coming in, just to paying down its debt, and that debt had ZERO interest, it would take more than 6 years to pay it all off.

What absolute insanity

Misunderestimated? That being a double negative, it means he OVERESTIMATED. At least in English parlance.

When the Hill chalks this up as “fooling the Democrats” and a “victory for Republicans,” it is certain it is a loss for all American taxpayers.

This is an opinion piece written by a GOP-E consultant. He’s paid to praise anything that McCarthy does.

The Hill is one of many thousands of propaganda arms of the Uniparty.

They hate us and are thrilled to lie to us.

Interesting to see this article talk of this being a victory for the GOP and conservative goals.

It all depends on the criteria people use to judge these situations.

THE WORST PART OF THE BILL IS THE DELAY OF DEBT CEILING TO JAN 2024, IMO.

the article said ..”shrewd maneuvering resulted in the largest reduction in spending in history”

ok then ... good to know , because I was really confused.
I thought they gave up the biggest growth in government in our history.
I thought they moved baseline spending to lock in that covid increase ..
I thought they “suspended” the dept limit until the lame duck session after the next pres election.... suspension probably to be extended ...over and over ..for ever.
I thought they expanded the irs to come after anyone GROSSING more then 400,000$ .. virtually every small business in the U.S.

yup ... it was a shrewd bit of political work.

LOL!

When The Hill claims that Conservatives won, that means we got crushed!

Just to prove that I am not a sore loser, I hope Kevin McCarthy enjoys being the neo-Marxist pin up of the month.
