Andy McCarthy: If Half of ‘Devastating’ Trump Indictment Is True, ‘He’s Toast’ and I Think They Can Prove More than Half
Breitbart ^ | June 10, 2023 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 06/10/2023 6:21:21 AM PDT by Timber Rattler

On Friday’s broadcast of Fox News Radio’s “Guy Benson Show,” author, National Review Contributing Editor, Fox News Contributor, and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy stated that while former President Donald Trump does have ample reason to say he’s been singled out, the indictment against him is “a devastating document. If they can prove half of it, he’s toast.” And he believes more than half of what’s in the indictment can be proven.

McCarthy stated, [relevant remarks begin around 35:35] “It’s a devastating document. If they can prove half of it, he’s toast. And I sense that they can probably prove more than half of it, because a lot of it is recorded conversations, testimony from his lawyers, and that sort of thing. So, I think, Guy, part of the reason that he’s been hitting so hard at the idea that he’s being singled out — which he’s got a lot of basis to say that — part of the reason is his real defense here…is the Hillary Clinton precedent. And I’ve had to try to make this point a number of times today, selective prosecution defenses are very effective in terms of trying to argue to the prosecutors that they should not exercise their discretion to charge. Once they do charge, those defenses don’t help you very much.”

former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy

Consider how McCarthy’s background influences his opinion. He was born and raised in NYC. His undergrad was from Columbia. His law degree is from New York Law School. Following being credentialed, he immediately was employed by government, and remained employed by government until he started pimping his opinions.

That’s rather provincial, not so much from a geographical sense, but from a people sense. Think for a moment about the type of people he has been surrounded and influenced by for all his life. He never had a job where he worked to build anything. The best he has managed is to parlay his government employment into opinion jobs at National Review and FNC. But where the hell did he form his opinion?

McCarthy is a poster child of uniparty deep state. He spews what he knows and what he has experienced. Why do we even listen to people like McCarthy? Why do some people allow themselves to be influenced by people like McCarthy?

What they can prove is Trump legally exercised his authority. He is not party of the two party club, so its a crime when the club says it is a crime.

McCarthy does not represent every word in the indictment is true.

Where does he even suggest that?

Might be CrossFire Hurricane docs that would not be things that no one should see, they are documents that Obama/Hillary/Biden/DOJ/FBI, etc. don’t’ want anyone to see b/c they implicate them.

Jonathan Turley is a level headed guy and one of the few experts on law who has been very critical of the Dem’s legal cases against Trump. He’s basically been on Trump’s side, until the documents case.

Bothers me a lot that he thinks Trump is in serious trouble on the documents case and that the prosecution isn’t just relying on political B.S., like Bragg is doing in NY in the hush money trial.

As if a paid shill like yourself and rattler is “dissenting”

And, of course, you deliberately miss the point. (Which is what a shill does, do better)

An analysis of lies has just as much worth of the lies themselves.

Trump is only in trouble if we abandon him. No matter what happens all he asks for is your CONTINUED SUPPORT and your VOTE in ‘24. Not much to ask for in exchange for another term of the GOAT POTUS.

Trumps lawyers probably quit because the indictment lays out solid reason for believing Trump lied to them so they would lie to the court.

Nope, no waiting to KNOW why they resigned for you.
Speculation and a good narrative work great.

You should consider who else shares your opinion and then consider that.

Wow! You mean that after only 7 years of investigations and false allegations, the Bureau of Fidelity, Bravery and “Integrity” has “finally” uncovered the “evidence” by which they will convict the people’s choice? I think that the powers of darkness are trying to provoke a resort to real violence! Why else would they insist on shoving these absurdities in our faces?

You don’t b3ecome a witness unless you have damaging testimony. And they cannot be compelled to reveal that damaging testimony unless they were being used to facilitate a crime. Which they were.

Maybe you should read the indictment BEFORE making comments on it.

Strategic Lawfare at Work, They Didn’t Resign – Jack Smith Takes Down Two Trump Lawyers Using Compelled Testimony, Creating Witnesses Within Indictment As soon as Trusty and Rowley saw their forced testimony was used in the indictment, they had no option except to exit the case. Despite the lawyers providing no damaging information against Trump, the DOJ used language in the indictment to turn Trump’s lawyers into material witnesses. Weissmann’s Lawfare tactic create a conflict, forcing the two Trump lawyers to depart. That's sounds more likely, if we're delving into speculation.

Oddly enough, the often fair Jonathan Turley, said something similar. Both are Fox News contributors...

You cannot argue “But others did it too!”

The Imperial Senate has crossed the Rubicon

With their Brutus McCarthy providing the $$$ in the just passed Debt fiasco, the Imperial Senate has the $$$ to provide their henchmen with enough $$$ to bribe anyone - including the likes of Andy the dog McCarthy.

Will this Republic survive this attack? Time will tell
