Andy McCarthy: If Half of ‘Devastating’ Trump Indictment Is True, ‘He’s Toast’ and I Think They Can Prove More than Half
Breitbart ^ | June 10, 2023 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 06/10/2023 6:21:21 AM PDT by Timber Rattler

On Friday’s broadcast of Fox News Radio’s “Guy Benson Show,” author, National Review Contributing Editor, Fox News Contributor, and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy stated that while former President Donald Trump does have ample reason to say he’s been singled out, the indictment against him is “a devastating document. If they can prove half of it, he’s toast.” And he believes more than half of what’s in the indictment can be proven.

McCarthy stated, [relevant remarks begin around 35:35] “It’s a devastating document. If they can prove half of it, he’s toast. And I sense that they can probably prove more than half of it, because a lot of it is recorded conversations, testimony from his lawyers, and that sort of thing. So, I think, Guy, part of the reason that he’s been hitting so hard at the idea that he’s being singled out — which he’s got a lot of basis to say that — part of the reason is his real defense here…is the Hillary Clinton precedent. And I’ve had to try to make this point a number of times today, selective prosecution defenses are very effective in terms of trying to argue to the prosecutors that they should not exercise their discretion to charge. Once they do charge, those defenses don’t help you very much.”

If they can prove it and have the phone conversations then they will make a Trump appointed judge find him guilty. I hope they have nothing. If he actually have these recordings without his permission is it admissible in court.

National Review has a reason to lie about Trump

McCarthy is a Beltway Never Trumper. He’s not even aware there’s a world beyond DC. He’s a good lawyer (IMHO) but simply isn’t aware of all of the facts and laws that non-Beltway good lawyers are opining.

Read the indictment. Yes, Hillary did worse and Joe Biden is probably actively taking bribes from foreign countries (treason). But once in court, McCarthy is right: You cannot argue “But others did it too!”

What Hillary did was criminal and her friends protected her. Had she gone to a court in Oklahoma, she’d have been destroyed.

Trump IS being prosecuted and could face a DC jury. Even in Florida, there is enough evidence to convict - unless they can show the tapes were forged, etc.

Trumps lawyers probably quit because the indictment lays out solid reason for believing Trump lied to them so they would lie to the court. Lots of lawyers don’t like that at all.

I won’t take this @sshole’s word for it.

Andy McCarthy is the same jackass who criticized the Trump administration for firing FBI hack Andrew McCabe even after acknowledging that McCabe was a criminal. That right there was enough to convince me that Federal prosecutors and “law enforcement” personnel should always be presumed to be duplicitous liars.

What is in the secret documents the FBI does not want us to see. This is all about Trump wanting to show something that the FBI is hiding. What is it? Its not military secrets. Its something the FBI does not want the American people to see.
