French President Emmanuel Macron has suggested the imposition of a global taxation system in order to subsidise the green agenda to mitigate climate change.
Speaking at the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact in Paris on Friday, Mr Macron argued that actions from individual governments would be insufficient to deal with the alleged armageddon set to descend upon the world and therefore a new international taxation framework should be established.

An international taxation system? That sounds like a treaty. And treaties require confirmation by 2/3 of the Senate. So this scheme is going nowhere.
I kid, of course. They’ll just call it an agreement or a consensus.
Then the next thing you know, we’re all directly or indirectly paying an international tax.

Ah, but you will. We all will. As I understand it, this scheme will start off by taxing international shipping. So any non-US goods you bought will be taxed. And the seller will just pass that cost onto the consumer.

Nothing will escape it. A VAT type of tax, stock & other transactions, personal property sales, “haircuts” on your savings & investments. And it will be so easy, once everyone is forced on digital currency.
Regular folk will be left with enough to get by on...maybe.
