Earth’s average temperature on Wednesday remained at an unofficial record high set the day before, the latest grim milestone in a week that has seen series of climate-change-driven extremes.
The average global temperature was 17.18 Celsius (62.9 degrees Fahrenheit), according to the University of Maine’s Climate Reanalyzer, a tool that uses satellite data and computer simulations to measure the world’s condition. That matched a record set Tuesday and came after a previous record of 17.01 Celsius (62.6 degrees Fahrenheit) was set Monday.
While the figures are not an official government record, “this is showing us an indication of where we are right now,” said National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration chief scientist Sarah Kapnick. And NOAA indicated it will take the figures into consideration for its official record calculations.

There WAS a small forest fire across the lake yesterday, but they hit it hard with helos, Air Tractors, and big tankers and got it out. I suppose that fire is concrete evidence of global warming, right?

Wow. So their “ Climate Reanalyzer” can report the planet’s temperature to the nearest hundredth of a degree.
No way. Not a chance. Fake data.

That said, it would not be unusual to have several days each year reach a record high. The earth’s atmosphere has been warming in fits and starts since the latter 1800s (well too early to be from CO2 effects, which theory does not support having any significant effect before the 1970s).
We are on a warming trend, but it does not well match the CG activist projections, even in hindcast. We are definitely ridiculously far below the early 2000s curve suggesting a 10C increase by 2100. So even if we are warming, it is clear that they really don’t understand why well enough to make the claims and projections they do. Note the claim that it is especially hot based on a computer model that they still haven’t gotten right.

1980, when the first crude satellite capable of measuring atmospheric temperature (indirectly, at certain altitude ranges) went up.
Over 100 degrees here in Eastern NC yesterday according to the news. That was the “feels like” temp. All the weather people now use the heat index scam exclusively when reporting the temperature.
Impossible to know the actual true temperature from the news. That’s why I refer to something called a thermometer.
