Jesus met with sinners, made friends with sinners but I don’t believe I have ever read in the Bible of him visiting places of sin.
Jesus met with sinners to save them.
Most Christian schools have clear statements on biblical morality. Typically they explicitly include monogamous marriage between one man and one woman AND just as explicitly reject “adult” entertainment.
The First Baptist Academy was well within their rights to fire these two, just they same as if they were members of a swingers group.
Personally, I would NEVER pay to send my children to a school that considers drag shows as acceptable entertainment.
They’ll have zero problem finding employment at a public school.
Nancy Coehn has a great testimony of being sent to bar. She was so overwhelmed, all she could do was burst into tears. People got saved, so a little different scenario. She wasn’t posting to FB about the great time and fun she had there. If you don’t go to places of sin, how do you find the lost sheep? Jesus was willing to come into the fallen world for us, we can go for him. I don’t think the teacher was actually sent, though, like Nancy was.
Good news story of the day.
“Then why did you go to that show?!”
I’m not interested in Tom Cruise’s lifestyle either but I just went to his latest movie.
I think they were mainly fired because they are too stupid to be teachers.
The famous gay wit Oscar Wilde once quipped, “Sentimentality is loving people more than God would.”
In other words, she is confusing emotionality and sensationalism with true Biblical love— caritas. Two different things.
Plus, I sincerely doubt that the drag show was just good clean family fun.
They should have been TIPPED OFF by the part about ‘moral character’.
Agreed, and Big Daddy Don Garlits isn’t really Big Debby.
