Vegan ... old injun word ... mean lousy hunter ...
I like my milk curdled and aged, or churned, or frozen - or mixed into the mashed potatoes or meatballs. But by itself? Not so much.
I get goat milk yogurt on occasion. I love the taste but it is just lower enough in fat it doesn’t hold off my hunger as long as cow’s milk.
I get it in those weeks I’m eating out too much.
Wasn’t the anti-milk campaign originally started as one of those crazy
PETA campaigns? It is amazing how successful they are. The anti -BPA campaign was one of theirs as well as the anti-beef. The anti-milk was actually started as part of the anti-cow. If they can’t turn you into vegans, they will at least turn you against cows.
Won’t matter——They are after our stoves, also.
Nope. They just want to make money on the latest fad.
Making a drinkable liquid that has the nutrition of cows milk would be expensive.
32 oz of Almond "milk" is about two oz of almonds and some flavorings.
Nice and cheap.
And that is about the least processed of these drinks.
Oat “milk” is pure glutton. There’s no way it can be good for you.
Love cheese and ice cream.
Had a wonderful fatty ham last year. Got more than a cup of lard from it. Awesome.
I’m older...watch my protein more than anything. Well rounded diet takes care of the rest.
heavy cream....ummmmm good
Yum!
I just drained container of almond milk into the kitchen sink. Taste was horrible. I make almond cookies using almond flour. Those are best tasting cookies.
And NONE of the above are actually MILK.
You can’t sell raw milk in Pa . . . read into that correctly
PA’s part of the oppressive Northeast.
there’s a BIG problem with commercial lard, though ... it’s highly processed, hydrogenated (the process that turns veg oil into death), and chock-a-block with additives:
Lard is often hydrogenated to improve its stability at room temperature. Hydrogenated lard sold to consumers typically contains fewer than 0.5 g of transfats per 13 g serving. Lard is also often treated with bleaching and deodorizing agents, emulsifiers, and antioxidants such as BHT and BHA ...
Milk is for babies and small children-it is healthier for adults to get their calcium and dairy protein from other sources-like yogurt and real cheese-not the 50% “cheese”-check the label. Goat milk and cheese are available everywhere in this rural area-it is more nutritious than the cow products and it is good for kids who have delicate digestive systems-far better than that almond, wheat, whatever stuff...
I’m over 70 and follow an all organic/natural diet-nothing processed, paleo, etc. I haven’t drank milk since I was a toddler-I never liked the taste, for one thing-and there are really too many empty calories in it as far as adult nutrition needs-it just puts weight on most people. Those fake veggie/almond milk drinks are worse, though-they don’t even have equal nutrition, plus they are actually a processed food-like margarine-yeech...
Yeah, in many ways, Pa. IS f’qed !
Or are we just virtue signalling that the goat did once own the milk to make us feel all magnanimous and compassionate.
