NJ is now the only state in the US where drivers are not allowed to pump their own gas

New Jersey drivers will now stand alone as they sit in their cars while gas is pumped for them.

That's because for the first time in 72 years, Oregon motorists will be able to grab a fuel nozzle and pump gas into their cars on their own, after a decades-old ban on self-serve gas stations was revoked. Gov. Tina Kotek signed a bill on Friday allowing people across the West Coast state to choose between having an attendant pump gas or doing it themselves. The law took effect immediately.

So now the Garden State is the only state that prohibits motorists from pumping their own gas. A few countries also ban it, including South Africa, where attendants offer to check fluid levels and clean the windshield, with tipping expected. New Jersey’s 1949 ban on self-service pumps remains a source of pride for some in a state where bumper stickers declare “Jersey Girls Don’t Pump Gas.” And since the state generally has lower gas prices than New York and Pennsylvania, many drivers from neighboring states cross the state line to fuel up.

Imbecile category? Considering the source I'll take it as a compliment. My wife and my step son had a car alarm installation business before I met her and they both had carry permits. My grandson son has long gun permits for his .22s and shotgun. It is possible to own fire arms in NJ how ever I 'll be the first to admit they suck.I'm not defending NJ guns laws, at all. I don't think there should be any infringement.

That's what the amendment says. How ever the people who seem to fall through the cracks (sarcasm) are the ones who some how evade observing gun control laws.

Can you even comprehend how bad the phrase, "long gun permits" really is?

I go back to my original statement that 'most citizens in NJ' cannot even get a gun for self defense.

Criminals can shoot you and be out on bail in time for dinner.

NJ, NY and several other blue states get what they vote for, and sheep stay in the pasture and get sheared.

Baaaaa

It’s because our PA gas tax is insanely high.

Let me make this succinct for you: I don't believe in gun control laws period. The law needs to be changed. Lead the charge general. Or zip it already.

I live in PA where we carry concealed pistols with a permit, or carry pistols, rifles and shotguns open and in public with no need for any gummint permit.

We have no need to change our gun laws, but by asking me to lead the charge, OK, just get on the joisey pike, head south and you'll be in PA in short order.

Other wise, stay and get sheared...baaaa.

No we don’t need to change the gun laws actually. Shouldn’t be any to begin with.

And don’t be so sure to consider me a sheep either champ.
