Deputy Treasury Sec’y: We’ve Seen ‘Prices Come Down,’ ‘Inflation Keeps Coming Down’
Breitbart ^ | 08/10/2023 | Ian hatchett

While speaking with Bloomberg on Thursday, Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo discussed the July CPI report where inflation and core grew by 0.2% in the month, the same rate as the month before and the annual rate increased from 3.0% to 3.2% while annual core inflation dropped from 4.8% in June to 4.7% and said that we’ve seen “prices come down,” and “inflation keeps coming down” from the 9% headline numbers we had a year ago.

Outright lies.

Note they don’t ask exactly where or what they are looking at to make this claim.

It’s the same logic that calls a decrease in the rate of spending for an agency a “budget cut.”

I estimate that prices have increased by about a third since 2020.

Oh yeah, inflation is falling faster than Biden’s approval rating. We went to the grocery on Wednesday and the results are amazing. We got approximately the same amount of groceries that we paid $225.00 for in 2020 for only $330.85.
I don’t think we can stand much more of the falling inflation rate.

Actually it’s worse I believe. This agent of govt propaganda equates a lower price increase with a lower price and clearly expected to get away with that claim. Which he did. But this, unlike your example which is bad enough, directly affects every single American. And he will get away with this. That’s where we are in this country today.

It doesn’t really include the shrinkflation either.

We’ve Seen ‘Prices Come Down,’

Did Wally take into account the "shrinkflation" that reduced the package sizes of the products while simultaneously charging more for them?

Even if prices *may* have come down slightly, the product is still smaller than it used to be.
