I’ve just experienced another attack on social media. The harassment on X, as Twitter now calls itself, usually lasts around 36 hours, and while most of the nasties are trolls and bots, I can’t pretend that the hundreds of comments don’t have an effect. I’m a priest, progressive, outspoken. No point in complaining. But a disturbing new aspect of these bombardments are the repeated and constant false accusations of pedophilia – not a libellous dribble, but a flood.
It’s not really about me of course, and I’m in good company. Last month in Belleville, Ont., when Justin Trudeau was swarmed by a right-wing mob, one of the hysterical shouts clearly heard was that he was a child molester. It’s grotesque nonsense about the Prime Minister that swamps social media. In fact, there aren’t many politicians and activists on the left who haven’t been accused of this awful crime.

Pedophilia is a horrifying crime and causes a life-long tremendous harm to a child. The author gives a passing nod to the fact that harming a child is wrong. However, he spends the majority of his words explaining how the outrage by conservatives is the real problem. He doesn't mention the fact that many of those who have been accused were in fact guilty of those accusations. Many who have spoke out at outrage at people accusing homosexuals and "trans" of being pedophiles have been later been found to actually be guilty of such.
This is what God's people are up against. This is Satan's work and we should all recognize it as such.

Perhaps hes just another in a long line of God fearing pedos. Growing up in the 80s in Boston , there was no shortage of holy folks that molested children. The church covered it up for decades…. Still does to the day around the world. This has contributed mightily to the diminishing of church and religion in many peoples lives. This eyeopening to the evil that men of christ were clearly engaging in was a crisis of faith that unfortunate for me was not the last but the first that made me rethink what Christianity was supposed to be. This man is not helping building back the image of the church with garbage like this…. He just continues to demean it under the guise once again of religious moral high ground.

It does claim the science does not back up homosexuals being groomers/pedos at higher rates, which is just not true, the stats absolutely back up that they are far more likely to prey on children.. No, they aren’t all sexual child predators, but the rate is FAR higher in the homosexual community... and a good portion of those adult homosexuals were victims of sexual abuse as children themselves... another fact they like to not mention.

I don’t think that the left is making the compelling case that they think they are making. But it is like a lot of things that drive me nuts about the left, like their willfull obtuseness to what is happening. In particular, the burgeoning “Minor Attracted Persons” movement, the desire to have naked and near naked men dress up in woman-face to do strip shows to children, and engaging children in hypersexual discussions. None of these things are normal and just a few years ago, would have frightened many, even the progressive left.
Their point is that issue isn’t that there are growing rates of pedophilia, academic communities that are advocating for child molesting, huge child trafficking rings, and JEFFERY F***ing Epstein and his friends that are the problem, it’s that the people on the right are obsessed. At some point, you’re just no longer willfully obtuse, but someone who is actively participating.
