Democratic-engineered Trump indictments show us the meaning of election interference
Washington Times ^ | 22 Aug, 2023 | Gayle Trotter

The indictments of Donald Trump charging the former president with 91 felonies across four cases in federal and state courts are just the latest barrage in an ongoing war over political control of our country.

The left and establishment Republicans would like you to believe that the alleged criminality of Mr. Trump’s actions brought about this history-making conflict, but in truth, the fever pitch of our national politics has led us to this unprecedented place.

In his book “The Right: The Hundred-Year War for American Conservatism,” Matthew Continetti sketches the challenges that gave rise to the American conservative political movement and the intellectual wars for control of the conservative movement and, ultimately, the Republican Party.

It began with the 2000 presidential election. “What happened in Florida set the tone for the next several decades of American politics,” Mr. Continetti says. Conservatives viewed the Florida recount ordered by Democratic candidate and then-Vice President Al Gore as “an attempt by Gore and the Democrat-appointed judges on the Florida Supreme Court to override an election.”

The 2000 election revealed a “closely divided nation whose opposing factions viewed each other as not just mistaken but illegitimate,” he says, and “the echoes of 2000 continue to reverberate.”

At the time, Democrats disparaged then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush’s win, claiming that he was “selected, not elected,” referring to the Supreme Court decision to stop an unlawful Florida recount. The Democrats had sowed the ground with constant public questioning of our election process.

Flash forward to 2016, when the presumptively “inevitable” first female U.S. president, Hillary Clinton, viewed her defeat as a sign that the election process must be damaged. Rather than looking inside herself and confessing her own role in falsely accusing Mr. Trump of being a Russian asset...

It’s a pretty reliable axiom that whatever the Dementedcrats are accusing Republicans of, you can be absolutely certain they are doing.

Intellectual wars for control of the conservative movement and, ultimately, the Republican Party.

Decoded: Communism

The democrat party was formed for more than one reason.

“And here we are...”

I remember back in 1998 the guy running the newly formed MoveOn.org saying that they were looking for people who would do anything right up to the edge of legality to advance the cause. This is where we are at.

It is provable that democrats stole the 2020 election. And its obvious they are manipulating the 2024 election right now. Trump should have no trouble demonstrating both.

Mail-in ballot envelopes could have the voter’s image printed on them from government databases and would be considered provisional unless postmarked in a certain area by a USPS employee that indicates the USPS employee verified the person turning it in matched the image. Mail-in ballot envelopes would not have pre-paid postage.

I’m pretty sure Georgia can be shown to have been stolen if the ballots still exist.

"Censure, and move on."

The Left only wants to "move on" when their guy is in trouble.

I'm sure we'll be asked to "move on" from The Tater's troubles soon enough.

These indictments for election fraud areBS not because they really want to get anything on Trump what they really want to do is get him on a sedition charge during J6 because that is against the 14th Amendment which is sedition.

If you are accused and found to be seditious you are not qualified to run for president.

That’s it in a nutshell. They also want to gin up a lot of bad press as it helps the talking points.

“The indictments of Donald Trump charging the former president with 91 felonies across four cases in federal and state courts”

Did John Gotti ever get charged with 91 felonies all at once? Or over the course of his lifetime?

Do they think we didn’t notice?

We noticed, but they have the levers of power, will continue to lie, and are holding on for dear life.

I figure the judge in the Georgia trial will make sure Trump isn't allowed to present any evidence proving his allegations about the election being stolen in that state.

With the jury drawn from Fulton County, probably 10 out of 12 will be Trump haters with two people who don't pay attention to politics, who will be threatened if they don't go along with the rest and find Trump guilty.

They don't care if the verdict is overturned on appeal as long as Trump is convicted before the election. But Willis may have been too clever by half by delaying the indictment two and a half years--it may not be possible to get the trial over with before the election.
