Minneapolis has been run exclusively by Democrats for more than four decades. One would think with decades of enlightened liberal leadership the city would be a utopia. Instead it has become a hellhole that is getting worse just like all the other liberal run cities. Sadly the fools keep electing the same party year after year.

I haven’t lived there but worked for a company that was formerly HQed there and had a large presence so I was there a lot. There are some beautiful parks, buildings, etc but the people always struck me as being just awful. Outside the Cities, yeah, you could find “Minnesota Nice” everywhere, but Minneapolis was turning in to a shithole 15 years ago and no doubt the transition is complete by now. I have zero interest in every going there again.

I can attest to this. Last few years going through on business n Minneapolis...there’s a lot of unhinged ranting and hatred towards whites there. St . Paul is way better but it’s only a matter of time.

South Minneapolis had been known as a relatively serene urban area, at least until a few years ago. When the extreme-progressive leadership began capitulating on homelessness, things began to change for residents like Dave Marquardt.

Who cares, Dave? You got exactly what you wanted. And you're not going to be able to fix it, either.

But now the city qualifies as “vibrant!”

...but Minneapolis was turning in to a shithole 15 years ago...

A former employer sent me to a technical seminar in downtown Mpls back in 1992 or thereabouts, and it was the first time I had been downtown in a number of years. I was shocked even then by how empty and seedy much of it had become. Shortly afterward, I had a bizarre conversation with a vendor who had relocated his family "safely east" of the Twin Cities, and he explained the destructive path they were on and some of the entities behind it. His predictions for the future were remarkably accurate.

I have no desire to ever go back for any reason.

Whom did you vote for?

If it was Biden and his ilk, shut up.

Minneapolis voters elected traitorous Demonicrats. As a reward, Minneapolis voters can expect to suffer and die from the actions of the traitorous Demonicrats they elected.

May any surviving children and grandchildren of those Demonicrat voters spit on their graves.

I went to college with a couple of Democrat voters from St. Paul who left Minnesota immediately after they retired a couple of years ago, because - wait for it - Minnesota is one of the few states that taxes every nickel of Social Security.

They moved to a less blue state to continue voting for The Tater and their favorite progressive policies.

Minnesota is rigged with a 55 mile by 70 mile rectangle.

"We moved to a small town 19 years ago. The best decision we ever made."

Same here, only I moved a mere 18 months ago. I moved to one of those small, rural "dying" towns with a population of < 2000. I just love the lack of traffic, and I've developed some wonderful new friends. If the US had "lockdowns" again, I would hardly feel it. (Lockdowns are considered to be a joke here).

And it seems like everything I need is basically at the end of the street that I live on (bank, pharmacy, hardware store, grocery store, auto mechanics, city park, etc.). If I move quick enough on a Friday afternoon I can catch the BBQ food truck at the fire station parking lot (he makes some excellent BBQ and ribs).

Sometimes some of my teen workers stay over during the weekend to work, which helps me not to feel quite so old. There are some shrewd business people here as well. Sometimes I think I may be surrounded by "stealth millionaires".

During lunch today I was serenaded by the sound of the local crop duster.

RE: Minneapolis has been run exclusively by Democrats for more than four decades.

There’s a clue in there somewhere. Dem voters can’t find it.

Nor can they find their rear ends without a GPS, a map, a hand mirror and three pals cheering them on.
