Biden admin to fund $4M study linking climate change to child labor, trafficking in Nepal, grant docs show

The Biden administration is funding a $4 million project to determine a connection between child labor and climate change in the South Asian country of Nepal.

One of the desired outcomes is "increased understanding of the link between climate change and vulnerability to child labor and/or forced labor risks," while another is "increased implementation of child-centered, gender-sensitive and socially inclusive climate adaptation initiatives," according to documents released on the federal government's grant website.

"Locally-led" climate change strategy, according to the grant details, should be collaborative with the Nepalese government to address the "priorities of climate-vulnerable populations, such as children, women, indigenous populations, and other disadvantaged groups."

"While further research is needed on the link between climate change and child labor and forced labor, there is evidence of climate change increasing vulnerability to labor exploitation and trafficking, gender-based violence and trafficking of women and girls, child labor, and forced labor and trafficking," the grant documents say.

They WILL find that link. It’ll be an invalid, unsupportable link, but they’ll find it.

They should just save the money and claim the link. We all know it’s a game serving an agenda anyway. I think BOTH sides of the issue know that, deep down.

Processing the materials for EV batteries seem to involve a lot of child labor.

E.g. the Shinkolobwe cobalt mine in the DRC.

Is there a lot a child labor in e.g. the Gas, Oil or Nuclear industries?

So a taxpayer funded study to show that one of China’s adversaries is a bad guy.

That’s 400K to the Bidens.

I’m seriously considering coming up with the the craziest possible connection between “climate change” and anything else I can think of and asking for a multimillion dollar grant. Would probably get it. Hey I’d be wasting the bad guys’ money.

Four million the government does not need to spend. A few million here and there for projects that have no value to the American people adds up to many billions or even trillions in borrowing. Much of this spending is siphoned off from the projects by social justice groups, universities, and other organizations who use the funds to pay fat salaries and lobby politicians for more money. It happens because Congress is fiscally irresponsible and will not limit spending to revenue.

The Republican majority Congress controls the appropriations process and is currently putting together the budget for fiscal year 2024 which begins October 1. Are they removing the pools of discretionary money the president and agencies use to fund these worthless projects? Or are they increasing a “baseline” budget that will result in even more wasteful spending and higher deficits in the future?

Spending is a choice. The truth is the House of Representives controls the entire budget processs - spending and revenue. It has the power to balance the budget. Millions of American families are being ravaged by high inflation and are cutting back discretionary spending in order to put food on the table and pay the rent or mortgage.

If the Republican majority of Congress doesn’t take action with this budget, the nation is certainly lost. The cycle of spending has to be broken.

We had exploitation of children LONG BEFORE we had climate hysteria.

100% agreed.

Spending has never decreased. The less money government has, the more it has to focus on it’s core, constitutionally limited, purpose, and the less ability it has to get in your face.

Limited government and a free market have always been the solution to our woes, and the last thing discussed at large.

Can only exploit children if they are allowed to be born. Otherwise, choosing (like you have a choice) to turn them into eunuchs isn’t exploitative?

Four million pays for some University staff, their PhD dimwit, one year’s crew working on their master’s degree, and probably six weeks of lux-hotel stuff and travel cost. Also, remember, you have to buy all new laptops, and a helpful admin staff for six months to grammar-queen the end-product. Somewhere along the way, Hunter Biden will serve as a consultant (figure he gets $100,000 and the big-guy’s take at $10,000 of that).

At the end of that, six people from the DNC will read the document, and then it’ll disappear about three days after they’ve cited it in front of Congress.

The science world is producing utterly worthless documentation, and not even ashamed of the lack of value.

Biden trying to shed the image of supporting child sex trafficking. His handlers should just keep him away from children altogether as he’s unable to control himself whenever he’s around them.
