Richardson [TX] ISD Wins Grant to Promote ‘LGBTQ+ Identity’ in Schools
Texas Scorecard ^ | August 28, 2023 | Erin Anderson

Posted on 08/29/2023 1:43:08 PM PDT by JeepersFreepers

Richardson Independent School District, in North Texas, applied for and received a grant to promote “LGBTQ+ identity” in its schools.

The district won the grant from the It Gets Better Project, a nonprofit organization with a mission to “uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe.”

Richardson ISD is using the grant money to revive its on-campus Gay-Straight Alliance club, now known as the Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA).

This is the second year the It Gets Better Project has awarded grant money to schools as part of its “50 States, 50 Grants, 5000 Voices” program, designed to encourage middle and high school students to explore sexual behaviors and far-left gender ideologies.

In 2023, the group handed out grants of up to $10,000 to 71 schools across the U.S. and Canada to fund projects that “support and uplift LGBTQ+ identity.”

“Amid ongoing efforts to silence or stigmatize discussion about LGBTQ+ identity in the classroom, it’s more important than ever to ensure that LGBTQ+ students feel that they are welcomed, accepted and able to be their full selves at school,” said Brian Wenke, Executive Director of the It Gets Better Project.

Through the 50 States, 50 Grants, 5000 Voices program, we are giving students, teachers and administrators the resources they have determined they need to help make their schools more LGBTQ+ inclusive and supportive. We’re so excited to watch these projects flourish and see the ways that schools and entire communities will benefit from these efforts to celebrate and empower their LGBTQ+ students.

The group credits American Eagle Outfitters and its intimate apparel sub-brand Aerie as corporate sponsors of the grant program.

Some grant recipients are using the money for “celebratory events” including drag shows. Several like Richardson are funding on-campus Gender & Sexuality Alliance clubs. According to the GSA website, there are three types of clubs: social, support, and activist.

Richardson’s Pearce High School lists a GSA club as a “place for LGBTQ+ students and allies to meet and discuss current events, school events and to have fun and feel safe.”

Richardson ISD is a “B”-rated school district in Dallas County with about 37,000 students. Just half of the students perform at grade level across all subjects.

So school boards are applying for grants from the It Gets Better Project to fund programs to groom our children.

It is time to start paying attention to school board elections. Activists have taken over many boards.

Meantime, home schooling seems to be the only option.

Note that American Eagle Outfitters is a key corporate source of funding for this perversion.

Texas is returning back to being a Democrat state. I might as well move to Boston where the property taxes are lower and the seafood is better & less expensive.

“It is time to start paying attention to school board elections.”

Yup—that is where just a few of the “good guys” can get it done—a much more productive and rewarding use of time than focusing on state or national issues.

I retired here in CT despite all of our issues.

One reason was that I did not like the trend in the standard “go to” retirement states.

I did not see most of the Republicans in those states ready or willing to take on the fight against evil for the long term.

In the case of Texas (which we looked at very carefully) it looked like border security and illegal alien invasion were not being fought successfully—which would ultimately leading to a “minority white” state and very high property taxes.

It’s not about Red or Blue States any more ... it’s about Satan’s Army vs God’s Army ... right now a lot of the US Government is on Satan’s side

DC demanded

Richardson ISD complied

The federal financial reins over state and local governmental entities have to be replaced by a system of unconditional federal block grant funding.

This is so disheartening to hear. Richardson was once a bedrock for mostly Christian conservative principles. Public school Administrations are so Woke trash these days. Residents need to fight back against these perversions.

I’m looking at Boston’s North End, Charlestown, and Gloucester. I can buy a comparable price house there and pay for less in property taxes. The restaurants and bars are cheaper too. I was shocked how clean and safe the subways were. There were far less homeless per capita, compared to Austin, San Antonio etc

Much of Massachusetts (especially exurbs and rural communities) are prosperous Whitopias.

The leftists who live there have it down to a science—cry about “climate change” to prevent all new development and “undesirables” from moving into town.

They follow Winston Churchill’s dictum—preserving their way of life with a “bodyguard of lies”.

You don’t get it. They were targeted by the faggorotti for those reasons.

People said, “It won’t happen here!” It has. ALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS EVERYWHERE ARE CHILD ABUSE! Pull your head out of your McMansion and $90,000 F-150 and look around. PUBLIC SCHOOLS are run by faggots, child molesters, and perverts. All of them everywhere.

Even if the individuals involved are not bad people The issue is the curriculum and the educational philosophy. Working in them is like working as a guard in NAZI concentration camp. The whole system is unredeemable. There may have been the occasional German guard who was trying to make things better in the camps for the Jews. They were still guards in death camps.

If somebody brought this to the public school I went to many years ago, the Parents would have strung them up on the flag pole at school.

I just noticed something:

“TITLE 5. OFFENSES AGAINST THE PERSON....”

compare to:

“No state shall...deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law.”

Amendment XIV, Section 1
