President Biden informed Congress on Thursday of his intention to raise federal civilian workers’ pay by an average of 5.2 percent, taking a required step to advance the proposal outlined in his 2024 budget request earlier this year.
In letters addressed to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Vice President Harris in her capacity as president of the Senate, Biden outlined his alternative pay plan for an across-the-board pay increase of 4.7 percent and locality pay increases averaging 0.5 percent, for an overall average increase of 5.2 percent.

the president doesn’t have the power to raise wages!
The people don’t have the power to prevent the President from pissing on The Constitution.
2023 deficit as of July $1.6T 2 months to go.
Public employees are some of the most useless, worthless, coddled, surly, and overpaid employees in the country. Most of them would be collecting aluminum cans for a living if government hadn’t given them a job doing what doesn’t even rise to that level.
This will be like the Inflation Reduction Act. The GOP will vote against it but then take credit for it when it passes.
It’s called buying votes. Nothing new.
Pay your taxes, you peon! Federal workers need a raise! Inflation is starting to affect the “Rich men North of Richmond”.
If Biden can excuse student debt by a stroke of the pen, he certainly can give federal workers a wage increase in the same manner.
Handouts to keep voting for the regime. And to keep obeying and propping up the regime.
The people don’t have the power to prevent the President from pissing on The Constitution.

Correct, because that power must be exercised by Congress and the Supreme Court, and the weaponization of those two branches, beginning in 2008, has rendered them useless. End result: TYRANNY!
Sure! Give the feds a 5% raise! After a 50% cut in the number of federal employees for the next 20 years.
They need a pay cut in my opinion.
The latest reason to quote this:
“We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors, because the sailors are spending their own money.”

Keep VA blue in 2024.
He’s proposing it to Congress. OK. Constitutional, but still stupid.
What? That’s a bad thing?/s
No wonder so many people want to work for the federal government. Large raises are just one of so many perks the
employees already receive.
And Congress will approve the bill adding a rider that will give Congress a 25% payrise. It will be passed in the dead of the night by a voice vote
Why is the GOP funding my persecutors while my family’s living standards plummet? That is NOT okay.
