New York AG Letitia James forces NYPD to send less officers to protests after BLM agitators win $13.7 million 2020 riot lawsuit

In response to a legal settlement following the New York City Police Department’s response to the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots, the NYPD will be adopting new policies including sending fewer officers to protests in order to protect the rights of activists.

According to NBC 4, on Tuesday a 44-page agreement was filed in Manhattan federal court that creates a tiered system of response to protests and requires the department to deploy fewer officers to most public protests. The agreement also bans “kettling,” a tactic that traps large groups of protestors in order to arrest them.

The agreement still needs to be approved by a federal judge.

Under the new tiered enforcement, NYPD commanders will designate protests as one of four tiers. Higher levels of mobilization will be in response to direct threats to public safety or critical infrastructure and lower-tier responses mean that officers must accommodate street demonstrations, including those that block traffic.

In the wake of the death of George Floyd in 2020, rioters set fire to police cruisers and hurled objects at officers. Hundreds of officers were injured while trying to quell the unrest. However, some nonviolent demonstrators were also arrested for low-level misdemeanors, such as blocking traffic or disorderly conduct.

New York State Democratic Attorney General Letitia James filed the lawsuit in 2021 regarding the protestors’ civil rights and said in a statement regarding the agreement, “Too often peaceful protesters have been met with force that has harmed innocent New Yorkers simply trying to exercise their rights. Today’s agreement will meaningfully change how the NYPD engages with and responds to public demonstrations in New York City.”

They didn’t “win a lawsuit” the idiotic NY government settled the lawsuit so they could reward the criminals they love and respect, at the expense of the taxpayers whom they despise.

Is this the same NYPD that released the suspect in the beating of a 60 year old woman with her own cane???

So, NYPD “just following orders.” Amazing just how far they have fallen. Also, does the NYPD’s motto, Fidelis Ad Mortem, “Faithful Unto Death.” ring a bit hollow now???

Faithful to a Soros AG?

I recently watched a YouTube video where a street activist was interviewing two young NYPD cops. The street activist was sharp, and asked some good questions.

But the two young NYPD cops sounded like morons, like they just woke up or were under the influence of sedatives. I guess that’s all the NYPD can get these days.

Can’t really blame better candidates for not applying. Nope, not at all.

How about having police act more like the old Hare Krishna robed young people handing a flower and a booklet about peace to people at airports and shopping mall entrances?

Might change some violent drug maddened thugs to have second thoughts. BLM might light a single candle rather than curse the darkness instead of tossing a Molotov cocktail to set family’s car on fire at a protest riot.

Protesters blocked traffic to Burning Man in N Nevada a week ago Sunday.

Tribal POLICE responded & broke up their barriers & arrested them all-—AT GUNPOINT.

THAT is the way to deal with this kind of trouble.

What could possibly go wrong?

Honestly, they need to burn the whole city down. It’s beyond repair. Liticia can have her cheering section run the whole freaking city. Those with the ability have moved out anyway.

Just think, Kathy Hochul and Leticia running a city with only BLM protesters and illegal aliens. Tax revenue falls almost to zero.

If I were a NYPD officer when the next riot starts I would just head the other direction and find a nice doughnut shop.

Give the voters what they demanded.
