The U.S. Constitution gives the federal government no jurisdiction over the smell of urban downtowns - nor any degeneracy that doesn’t cross state lines.

BoomerCon Constitution Mannerism on issues like this when “The Constitution” is ignored on everything else is another reason why “conservatives” have done nothing but lose and lose and lose and lose !

I’m opposed to all violations of the Constitution. That’s why I’m on FR: “Free Republic advocates a return to constitutionally limited government, reserving all government powers not expressly delegated by the constitution to the United States to the States respectively, or the people, emphasizing sovereign state governments, local government, self-government and self-rule, while restricting government powers to only those enumerated in the constitution and maximizing individual rights and liberty as originally envisioned and established by our Founding Fathers and secured and defended by the blood of patriots and statesmen for over two hundred years.”

Yeah, I know we are supposed to worship this stuff.

But “constitutionally limited government,” is how the current situation came about.

“Constitutionally limited government,” only constrains the right, never the left.

I have come to believe that “constitutionally limited government,” has become a containment and gatekeeping device to exclude elements of the right that could effectively fight back.

Concur. I don’t care if it is smoke from a clove cigarette or a campfire. Smoke is not good for your lungs. Having said that, there was a article from about 15 years ago that ran an experiment and looked at the history of many smokers and found that if you smoked only about five cigarettes a day your risk was minimal.

I can remember $25 per ounce pot... With lots of seeds and not much oomph and probably from Mexico.

Then came the high-grade stuff from Columbia. That was in the late 70s, early 80s... And prices rose substantially. Pounds were going for well over $1,000... And ounces were selling for as much as $200 per ounce and those prices were pretty steady and persistent... Right up until legalization in Canada.

Now it’s almost as cheap as dirt and the reason is pretty obvious... It really doesn’t cost that much to grow or produce and we’re growing it right here in our own backyards with hydroponics, so the cost of transportation is negligible.

The Canadian government thought that by legalizing pot they could corner the market and make hundreds of millions in tax revenue... That’s how they sold the concept to the public.. We’ll make hundreds of millions that you won’t have to pay in taxes.

Only problem is... They thought black-market prices would persist... They were wrong. The black-market adjusted and has undercut the legal market to the point where the legal sale of pot is a money loser.

“The laws of any government should not infringe on the overall laws of our nation...

Like our people, our states are not subservient to “our nation”. “Our nation” lies last on this hierarchy.

Perhaps, but they still likely do not smoke 20 joints a day.

“People wake and bake and go all day.”

I’ve known hundreds of potheads in my life, and yes, some are high all day long, but I’ve never met a single one who smokes 20 joints a day.

Maybe Snoop Dogg or Tommy Chong does, though I don’t know them personally.

I hate all drugs, and I hate all nose rings. Tattoos are also dumb, but OK only for men in our armed forces.

Today’s very potent marijuana is a very insidious and unsafe drug. It is a gateway drug to worse drugs.

Wasn’t the old argument that the stronger it is, the less of it people would abuse? And trafficking is worse than ever with legalization.

Everything they said was a flat out lie.

And trafficking is worse than ever with legalization.

What do you mean by that.   I was under the impression that they have state approved stores.   Where is the trafficking?
