Indeed, the classic klepto move would be anticipated, even expected. Best she just retreat and forget it, if she's even capable of such a thing. Like the saying goes, don't start nothin', won't be nothin'.

how many of them are going to result in a legal decision and how many are going to be dismissed as not having standing or demonstrating harm? How many will be delayed or strung out until after the 30 days and then dismissed as moot?

With the New Mexico AG saying that he will refuse to defend the State in court, that should result in summary judgements in the cases. We shall see what ultimately happens.

Honestly, if this crap doesn’t stop by these Blue state Governors, we’ll need to divide the country up...Again

Fixed it.

There are layers all over this mess.

The Gov is becoming unpopular and needs to burnish her national bona fides. The far left will remember what she tried to do when considering future cabinet and ambassador posts. She will be rewarded.

The AG is going to run for Governor and has a reputation for being a Soros backed far lefty. This letter makes him appear more centrist. It is all window dressing since no LEOs will enforce the ban. In NM all public officials - and I mean ALL - can be PERSONALLY sued for violating your civil rights. Not a cop in the state would arrest someone based on this BS order. Torres was totally safe saying he wasn’t going to prosecute any cases because there weren’t going to be any cases.

Speaking of cases, another DA and former Democrat State Chair Sam Bregman also came out against the ban. Word is he hates MLG and is considering a run for Governor in the future himself.

The VERY soft-on-crime leftist mayor of Albuquerque, Tim Keller came out against the ban as well. He, too, has political aspirations...he is focused more on going to Washington...and can’t be seen as a TOTAL left wing idiot, even if he is one.

I won’t go into the long list, but several Republicans took advantage of the situation to get a little shine on their apples as well. Never let a stupid statement by your opponent go to waste...

In the end it will be a tempest in a teapot. As a trial run it was a flop. Using public health as an excuse for gun control isn’t going to fly. It did expose some people’s idiocy about guns and the 2nd Amendment on social media. I can’t believe how many people really believe that the 2A only ensures guns for a militia.

It is not the guns, for the Billionth time, is is the creeps who pull the trigger. Until that is the focus of action, whatever these numb nuts say is totally and completely moot.

Let’s just call everything an “emergency” that way we can ban anything we want at will.

We ALLOWED these scumbags to dictate our lives during the covid scamdemic and now they think they have the power to do whatever they please. This is how these petty tyrants work.

Will we continue to ALLOW them to push us around? I know I won’t. F them!

Unfortunately there is still an Albuquerque police department that will enforce the order. Even if the AG doesn’t prosecute, folks will get detained and arrested unless the police chief also refuses to participate and orders his officers accordingly.

The governor needs impeached, immediately, and then needs to be put on trial for treason

Remember that New Mexico got rid of qualified immunity for their law enforcement officers

Really, that's fantastic. That should happen in all 50 states.

They don’t worry about being “thrown out” when they just steal elections anyway.

The lefty commie Dems have their own “police force.”
The question is only when do we get to see the roll out.
They will look someting like ANTI-FA with guns and training.

Obama and his minions have been organizing that 5th column for some time
while simultaneously persecuting right wing patriot activists.

Why do you think they keep trying to get “gun violence” classified as a “medical problem”, “public health crisis” or “disease”? The libs know that a flat out ban won’t hunt (for the reasons spelled out in the letter)... BUUUUUUUUTTTTT, if you can come up with another “right” (to a long, healthy life comrade!, er buddy!) that needs to be protected...

Look at what they did with the ‘rona. The second the libs get guns classified as the same sort of threat that a virus poses, they will disarm us for our own good...

Thank GOD that I live in the most Christian and Conservative state in the Union, the State of Alabama!! We have free carry now. Any law-abiding citizen can carry without a permit. You only need the permit if you are going to carry in a state that recognizes our permits to carry.

The Chief of APD has said his officers will not enforce. Which surprised me, as he’s a political tool. But APD is understaffed and has severe morale problems.

Enforcement, if any, will be State Police. They have issued no statement as of this time, but I doubt they like being The Wicked Witch of Santa Fe’s flying monkeys. Plus, they don’t have that many officers in the area (only 400 for the entire state, and we’re a big state).
