School shootings reached a record high in the 2021-2022 school year, doubling the previous record that was set the year before, according to new federal data released Wednesday.
In the 2021-2022 school year, 188 school shootings with casualties were reported, breaking the record from the year before, when 93 shootings with casualties were reported, according to the National Center for Education Statistics’ (NCES) annual crime and safety report.

I have read reports like this before. When you get the source document, they do things such as classify any discharge of a firearm within two miles of a school as a “school shooting.”
Let’s now break that down by demographic. 90% ‘teens’ or thereabouts is my educated guess.
It the same way they counted “covid deaths”
Correction-—the way a school shooting is logged and reported is causing numbers to double and triple. Gang bangers shooting each other on the fringes of a school zone or driving through one, even if school is closed, is logged as a school shooting-—for example.

They weren’t getting the numbers they “need” under the traditional calculations so they change it to include all shootings within two miles of a school and they open it up to up to 24 yr olds. They are deliberately sweeping in all the gang shootings to create a “crisis” where there wasn’t one
Probably equating ‘shooting in a school’ with ‘shooting up in a school’.

It’s no wonder the things they are forcing on kids.

I can hear Biden now about a week after campaigning starts in earnest ... I can no longer let gun violence go unchallenged. All you law abiding citizens surrender your assault weapons which includes any semiautomatic weapon. Of course all you gangbangers, illegals and harden criminals are exempt from that.
Public school students killing each other under the Bidenskyyyy administration have increased bigtime and not one word about making Camela the school shooting czar. The new “wildly popular” school shootings are occurring at school sporting events. I haven’t heard one thing about banning footballs, basketballs or any other balls for that matter. School sporting events should all be banned until the little snot-nosed brats learn to control themselves and stop shooting other kids they don’t like. They should be banned from doing the Chicken footprint “peace sign” or saying “peace” until they stop killing each other.
When reality doesn’t fit the intended use of the data, make sure to define the time frame to your advantage.
The very last line of the article says there have been 30 “school shooting” so far in 2023. 30 for 8 months prorates to 45 for an entire year. Compare that to the 188 for the 2021-22 school year. That precipitous drop ought to be the lead, but it kills the sense of crisis some desire to gin up out of this.
I’m sure that most schools being closed for a big portion of 2020-2021 has *nothing* to do with this comparison.
