A rising Republican star tipped by many to be Donald Trump's running mate should he win the presidential nomination has been involved in a clandestine affair for years, multiple sources tell DailyMail.com.
Married South Dakota governor Kristi Noem, 51 – who stresses her belief in 'family values' – and Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski, who is also married, began carrying on in 2019, if not before.
Now news of the relationship threatens to wreck Noem's chances of joining Trump's ticket in a potential rematch with President Joe Biden.
Neither denied the affair when asked by DailyMail.com. The Governor issued a statement attacking us for the timing of the article, while Lewandowski did not respond to a request for comment.
‘He may not be very smart, but it takes big balls to lobby to have your mistress named one of the most powerful people in the country,' one GOP operative told DailyMail.com.
The far-right website American Greatness claimed in 2021 the two had been romantically involved, although it gave no details.

She was a teenage model from a rich family. Got a degree in English. Daddy introduced her to someone who gave her a job in the PR department. In those circles she becomes a friend of Ivanka Trump. So suddenly, she’s in the Trump campaign. I’ve never seen anything resembling intelligence from her. She rushed to testify for Mueller, she claims Trump lost in 2020, and she testified against him reference January 6.
Her job is based entirely on her luxe. If she looked just less than ordinary, she would’ve never had the position she did with the credentials she did.

I agree. Not only does everyone deserve some happiness, but as a country we have long since crossed just about every sexual line possible. An affair between two normals seems very tame by comparison.

I am a native South Dakotan and was a lobbyist to the State legislature. It would be impossible to keep an affair secret in this small state and especially in a small town state capital, like Pierre. Since the source of these salacious rumors is anonymous and comes from foreign press, I doubt the credibility of the story. Noem is a mother and grandmother and I would think smart enough not to ruin her reputation.

I know affairs are not uncommon.
I also know that affairs don’t usually mean the end of a marriage. That part of it is none of my business.
But with this level of attention, it just seems like bad judgement. If a wife is willing to humiliate her husband like this, in front of the world…that tells me something about her character.
I guess the egos of people at the “top” are no different than the guy banging his secretary.
