Some of the earlier Marvel films were good. I liked the first Ironman movies, Robert Downey was excellent in his role. Antman and Captain America (the first one) were all good.
They've made too many movies since then so the quality isn't there anymore. The CGI doesn't work that well. That's why I like Tom Cruise, he does all of his own stunts.
Like nobody knew that.
I watch Brit mysteries on BritBox and The Grand Tour on Prime. The last few movies I tried really sucked. Some streaming content is totally top notch like The Expanse.
I went to see a limited showing of a movie about CS Lewis. And a replying of “Casablanca”.
But I guess Disney will do a remake of Casablanca with a black guy playing Rick and Ilsa played by a transvestite (”We’ll Aways Have BERLIN”). And they will be trying to escape Florida...
Last time I was in a theater was to see “We Were Soldiers” with Mel Gibson.

I do not disagree.
That movie holds up so well, it smacks the everlasting crap out of something like Eastwood's awful "gee I got all this extra footage" Flags of Our Fathers-Letters from Iwo Jima embarassing 2-fer. FOOF made me pine for the sub-standard Band of Brothers sequel "The Pacific", and LFIJ is one of the few movies that actually put me to sleep.
Hal Moore said it was the first movie about Vietnam that Hollywood got right.
Evidently those are costing more, think of of how much electricity is used, the cost is a lot more than you think. So Disney+ and others are cutting the amount of content you have access to, mainly older content. Add to that with the fact that subscriber growth is no long fueling their expansion you have a cash squeeze and/or taking on more debt to create more new content.
Streaming is not going to work out without another form of revenue and they only thing is advertising on all platforms and/or higher prices. Disney+ is raising prices again in the 4th quarter and probably again in the first half of 2024.
I have not been to a movie theater since the last century. What is “Netflix.”
The last time I actually bought a ticket and watched a movie in a theater was the first Star Wars movie, haven’t been in one since.

There was something on the Web recently, a week or so ago, I can't recall where, in which some people had come up with images of popular white actors and actresses reimagined as black, e.g. a black Leonardo Di Caprio.
Much depends on how much you have in common with people at work and which people you choose to share things with. As I recall, people liked to talk about “Game of Thrones,” and grossing out those who were repelled by it was part of the fun. You may have been turned off by people talking about “Friends,” but they probably didn’t mind. It probably didn’t stop them and maybe even encouraged them.
This year, “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” got lots of attention, even from people who didn’t see them. The only TV show that gets comparable attention, I think, is “Yellowstone.” Some people liked “White Lotus,” but they were talking about it at a time when most people hadn’t seen it and didn’t know what it was.
I think some of the very first TV to movie remakes were Batman. I was eight years old when the Adam West/Burt Ward Batman TV series started and, being eight years old, I like it. By the time I entered junior high school four years later I couldn't give a darned for it and then many years later they started making the movies. Since I never read comics all the other movies were foreign to me as I didn't know any background or story lines. By then that type of fantasy stuff completely disinterested me.
I am going to admit I watched the first Guardians of the Galaxy and enjoyed it.
Hollywood wants to cater to the pedophiles and socialists.
Turns out there isn’t an audience for that.

Bond didn’t chase women. If women came to Bond that he liked and could afford to do so at the time, he partook. Seducing other enemy female agents was just part of the job.
Do remember the Bond character did get married. Not what a womanizer does.
