“Although it pays lip service to the import of the right to vote, the majority/lead opinion has the practical effect of making it more difficult to exercise it,” wrote Justice Ann Walsh Bradley.

I wonder if Justice Bradley would say something like the following when reviewing just about ANY "common sense gun law":
“Although it pays lip service to the import of the right to bear arms, the majority/lead opinion has the practical effect of making it more difficult to exercise it.”

I cannot help but think that Justice Bradley would throw up in her mouth, thinking about the statement I wrote - USING HER WORDS AND LOGIC!!

One day of voting is rather restrictive. I’d say better for two, three, or four days, some group of Thurs-Sun. That gives everyone a weekday, weekend, and day or night to vote. No excuses. Let County sheriff run the sites, augmented by National / State Guard. Fills up one drill weekend.Military and law enforcement are much more likely trustworthy trustees of ballot security and handling.

Absentee is limited to deployed military. Mayyybe a bit more like the hospital-confined or such, but you’d have to argue that for me to accept it.

And of course purple finger dye, ID, regular clearing of rolls/re-registerinc, and so on.

S19a... I do not know, but I understood that the new SC was under investigation for taking some of those Act blue contributions some group sluiced under the names of unaware donors.

Of course It could be that I fell for another old story tricked out as Breaking News like the WI drop boxes. (These are taken from Telegram posts from a poster who re-posts old stories as new articles without dating them.)

It's very common in Europe to hold elections on a Sunday, Saturday and Sunday. The longer the voting period, the harder it becomes to secure the ballots and ensure election integrity.
