JPMorgan Chase admitted to pressuring the financial software company Intuit into preventing gun sellers from using the company’s payment processing services, according to a letter Sen. Ted Cruz sent Monday after looking into the policy. Bank of America, meanwhile, denied pressuring Intuit into banning gun manufacturers from using its famous QuickBooks software.

“Woke big banks are increasingly weaponizing their power to cut off law-abiding businesses from accessing banking services,” Cruz, R-Texas, told The Daily Signal in an email statement Monday.

Intuit, the financial software company best known for producing QuickBooks, had adopted an acceptable use policy previously listing “guns and firearm manufacturing” as one of the business types prohibited from using payroll services. Intuit also listed “firearms and weapons sales” as a business type prohibited from using payment processing services.

Time to switch banks.

No, time to pass laws prohibiting discrimination against lawful activities by companies providing services to the public.

It would be unlawful for JP Morgan Chase or Intuit to refuse their services to those seeking abortions or gender reassignment surgery.

It should be equally unlawful to refuse services to lawful commerce in firearms.

These banks need a very public and thorough proctological exam from Congress and their customers.

Time for red states to act to curb these people from their cancel culture activities.

The solution is simple. Red States need to pressure big banks to cease and desist from such activity - upon pain of losing their banking charters in those states.

Think Chase or BofA wants to be kicked out of 27 states? Even 10? That would be a devastating financial blow to them.

You are right, but they are getting away with this sh#t and will continue to, until the USSC gets involved, and that would be months and months away. Meanwhile, the damage continues to be done. And the price of ammo will skyrocket to cover the cost of lawyers.

We use INTUIT software at work. They raise prices at will, and I realized when looking into it - they are a near monopoly. And given such power and control, I imagined they could also use their power for political purposes

....And here it is.

Not just pressure. Outlaw!

-———————FLORIDA-DESANTIS-———————

Florida banks can’t deny services to gun owners or companies under a new law signed by Governor Ron DeSantis (R.) this week.

The governor signed House Bill 3 on Tuesday, enacting new financial regulations over who banks can cut business ties with and why. Under the rules, banks can’t deny credit or accounts to anyone on the basis that they are lawful gun owners, makers, or dealers. It also bars the state from using so-called “social credit” scores to determine who to do business with or work with any bank that uses the scores.

DeSantis said Floridians need those protections because some companies have begun discriminating against people whose politics they dislike.

“If you’re engaged in traditional energy production, they don’t like that. If you have a gun store or you’re a gun owner, they don’t like that,” he said at a signing ceremony for the bill. “There are certain things that they don’t like. And people feel the brunt of that. So, we wanna make sure that in Florida people have access to these services and they’re not discriminated against based on their political orientation or their religious beliefs or anything like that.”

Time to switch banks.

Time to prosecute bankers for conspiracy to violate a civil right, the right to keep and bear arms.
