Don’t put your hat in the ring unless you’re willing to shutdown the government and accept it as a badge of honor. You won’t last 45 days otherwise.

He needs to state WHY, and what he will do WHEN. We don’t have time to play patsy with the Dems.

In the past he had said he did not want to be speaker. What changed?

He was solidly in McCarthy's corner. We can do a lot better than Jim Jordan. Jim Jordan is McCarthy-Lite.

Not excited. He’s been a non-starter or rather, hasn’t been successful as committee chair. All talk, slow and no action. We need more as speaker. I don’t see him as having gravitas to be a ‘bomb thrower’ and stand firm on positions.

Jordan would absolutely be an acceptable choice.

Jim, you need to FIRST stop any funding until Biden starts building the wall and seals the border. That’s your #1 starting point.

I’m can’t figure out why the Dems were so gleeful when McCarthy, a moderate, and more in line with them, was booted out and why they voted 100% against him. They may get their worst nightmare, a Speaker who is a hard-core conservative or, at least, someone much more conservative than McCarthy.
What were they thinking?
To: conservative98
Who ever replaces McCarthy, I hope it’s a true Trump supporter. With Trumps dominance in the party, a speaker that is also MAGA would help to marginalize the corrupt deepstate establishment block.
We need a speaker that will not make back room deals with the likes of pelosi, jeffries, biden and zelinski. Any establishment speaker will continue in McCarthys shadow and nothing will change.
I think at this point Jordan could be the best choice. We’ll have to see what follows
